IFPI is a big joke now. So is Forbes. I know this is coming from someone who has used those sources more than anyone else on this site pre-ARTPOP and used nicknames such as "Lady IFPIga" "Forbesgelina", etc. but their measuring methods have really become quite absurd over the past few years.
Like, how is One Directon the second biggest global act of the year (according to IFPI) when no one above the age of 25 listens to their music? I know tweens are some of the biggest consumers right now (Taylor Swift, Ed Sheeran, and other children's acts, etc.) but they haven't even been that culturally impactful this year. Gosh, I don't even remember the name of their last album.

I think they count now tours or something like that.
I hope the full report has everything separated like they did last year.
First Jolie's leg completely overshadowing Meryl's first Oscar win since the fall of the Berlin Wall, and now "fad" Gaga completely out shining Juliane Moore's first Oscar win... Nicole, gurl, where u at sistren?

I feel like I'm one of the only ones 25+ who gets their albums without children as an excuse but I know people my age who admitted to listening on Spotify and a bunch of their songs do pretty well there.
The tacky cocktail dress, the corny facial expressions, the fact that it's most likely pre-recorded, the lame children's choir, and most importantly, the TERRIBLE French. Gurl, let me clean my ears & eyes with Gaga's performance.
It was horrible, like she had no clue what she was singing about.
When Missy Elliot her song "Gossip Folks" was charting higher than Teenage Dream (the song) on iTunes, I laughed so hard since Missy didn't even perform that song + everyone on ATRL always claims how Teenage Dream is "one of the best songs ever!!!!", "a true classic hehe!!!!!!11111". Told yall she was this generation's Paula Abdul.

nothing we can do about it. REAL artists like Katy Perry & Lady GODga are just too much for the GP to comprehend!
Eddie Redmayne is a mediocre actor. He's only "famous" because of his connections. He went to the same school as Prince Williams. And more importantly, he is an Aniston stan so you should do everything to boycott him. But it's not like anyone will remember him by next week so who cares.
yet he won an Oscar in the leading category, something Angelina or her husband could never.
I'd like to see Eddie Redmayne in more movies in the future. He has potential, and was great in Les Mis, but his performance in Jupiter Ascending looked really bad.
Angelina has as many Oscars as Bruno has Grammys which is kinda embarrassing since it's 10x easier to win a Grammy (well, there are exceptions hihi). Eddie is nothing. He will become a seat filler a la Lupita next year.
