The album that spawned her least deserving #1 single, Thank God I Found You.
Now I know back during the Daydream discussion I mentioned that the original version of Fantasy was miles better than the ODB remix. Now I'm gonna go on record and say the Heartbreaker remix ***** all over the original.
She looks STUNNING in this video.
And can we take a moment to appreciate the Vulnerability (Interlude). 1 minute and 12 seconds of pure bliss.
God - it was impossible to escape the Heartbreaker video in 1999/2000. I remember it playing every-time I went through the music channels. I went to Oslo and it played there. I went to Austria with school in 2001 and it still played heavily .
I really want to LOVE this album, but I just don't. Crybaby, Bliss, Heartbreaker Remix, Did I Do That, and How Much are all songs I enjoy.
I feel bad for Mariah with this album because you could sense her Breakdown coming around this time.Columbia acted like they didn't give two ***** about her even though she had 2 Number One hits during this era. Her voice got worse, and overall I'd say this was a more successful version of Glitter Era for her.
She looked great during this time and it's crazy how she was 29/30 looking like she was 22/23. I don't think the album is as good as it could have been compared to what she gave on Butterfly, and Daydream, and although I don't use TGIFY the album should have did better.
