"Shake That Brass" is slowly growing on me, there's some genuinely great moments in the track. Overall it's mediocre for what Amber could have done, but it's better than some of it's western counterparts ("Problem", "Crazy, Stupid Love"). Taeyeon did a pretty cool job as well, although my favourite moment of hers is the du-dum di dum dum dum dum in the second verse, and not the ad-libs that should have stolen the show.

How's the song (and Amber's mini) doing commercially?

To be honest though, whoever told her/decided Shake that Brass was a good title is such a mess. Literally any other song on the mini would have been better.

I still haven't heard the mini in full because what I did hear from the record didn't hit many chords with me, but I'm still pretty glad Amber has her own solo. I always say how important Amber is as an idol with representation and values, etc. and while it sounds like she may have missed the mark with this one, she still deserved her own moment to shine.

Wait, what is Taeyeon doing at the moment? Why is Wendy part of all the "Shake That Brass" performances?

SM is weird about their feature artist in their live stages. Amber performed with Zhoumi for quite a while before Chenyeol did. I'm not sure what he was up to for that time, though.

I guess it's all promo. Taeyeon is a bigger name so she'll sell more, but it gives Wendy a chance to promote and get her name out there on the music shows.

Viewership is only like 5% nowadays or something so it's not like having Wendy promote with Amber will have a huge impact on sales anyway.
