I was not against your post, when I was posting that, I was thinking: Even when Taylor Swift had SIO and BS, these 2 biggest singles and both Number one on Billboard Hot 100, I still had the feeling, she cared about album sales much more, that's the only way for me to understand their promotion strategy.
Maybe Style just isn't a good enough song for the GP?
I personally love it but it doesn't have that 'immediate smash' sound that BS has. As Singles Jukebox said... the best pop songs aren't always popular.

N abt that solo Top 10s thing okay now I get it but if Tay was releasing urban-pop she'd have features as well
Because even with the MV and rapid increase in airplay the song has yet to crack the top 5 on iTunes.
It's so obnoxious watching Style on iTunes. Every time is gets close to the top 5 again, a bunch of pre-order / promo tracks (including Wonderland ) push it out of the top 10.
