Let's be real here, "artistic integrity" is only going to get you so far. She was never going to have a career outside of Western Europe if she kept recording music that sounded like what was on Halcyon Days forever. Recording generic pop songs and Calvin Harris produced EDM jams were the only way she was gonna break out anywhere else, and it worked.

At least her selling out paid off. MariN/A tried it and failed abysmally.
