I haven't read those books either (just note that the last book I read is Catching Fire early last year and I got maybe 20% through because I'm lazy) but I heard about the telepathy and I think it's actually good they didn't use it (movie-wise, not plot-wise.) Telepathy is always awkward on screen most of the time. Talking without lips moving, people just staring at each other and just the whole thing in general. I think it would've lessened the quality a biT.

I haven't seen Divergent but it looks lame and not even worth a watch.
The soundtrack is really excellent, though once again the 3rd kind of beats it. Ddd I agree with that, though, they always seemed like they didn't want to be there yet their jobs were pretty easy.
