The writer of Fifty Shades Of Gray was inspired by Rihanna's 2011 single S&M released off the album LOUD, and additional remix with Britney Spears was released and the song hit #1 on the BillBoard Hot 100 Chart
DreamWorks CEO Jeffrey Katzenberg said that Rihanna has recorded 12 songs for the soundtrack. Although, the movie won’t be a musical like for example Frozen; the main characters don’t actually sing and dance, but it’s more going to be like DreamWorks’ Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron where the songs are just there in the background like a score.
