Ya know, the cover has grown on me. She said the akbums more down to earth and realistic. It seems minimalistic and less metaphorical, more direct and honest...it HAS been called her most personal album yet. Let's see if the music fits with the cover like the first two albums' did .

me too, i'm very curious as to why she used that. i mean, "water and air," it's kind of obvious since she's always inspired by water/oceans, and clearly from waht she's said the air/sky has inspired her for this album. i just wonder if she'll ever be direct about the symbol :P

the standard cover is an absolute WRECK. the lack of "+ the machine," the disgusting border, the small title, (the picture).... the deluxe version is the one i am beginning to accept. i kind of like it. i have Lungs and Ceremonials on vinyl hanging on my wall. if the vinyl doesn't have the deluxe cover with just the photo, there is no way in HELL i am hanging it with the other two

i'm a little sad her work with SBTRKT got cut, but it was probably hip-hop leaning, so i'm actually probably happy it did.
curious for Long & Lost.... ester dean is more pop and generic, right? i could be wrong...i know she's a skilled pop writer, but still, interested to see how she and flo work together. not doubting florence though
i'm assuming even though she wrote a lot with James Ford, he will have minimal, if any, production on the album. not florence pulling a lana with rick on Ultraviolence

And it's interesting to me that she said her previous albums were about escapism and this new one will be more about dealing in reality. Very eager to see how the elements and nature and all of her other favorite mystical motifs translate in HBHBHB.

Ester Dean has done a lot of stuff for Rihanna (Rude Boy, S&M, Where Have You Been, & more) so I'm definitely excited to see how THAT collaboration is going to work. And I have enough faith in Flo to trust her judgement and not make anything "generic". If anything it'll probably be one of her more radio friendly songs and could end up doing well on the charts.

^^^ that's what I was thinking. I think it may be the most radio friendly that the label asked her to do, but she would never do anything as generic as, say, Sweet Nothing on her own album it'll just be an easier to digest, "more mainstream" song.

Delilah and St Jude seem like references to the Hebrew and biblical figures, and Mother seems like a reference to her mom? It seems a pretty spiritual album! Very mature titles, too

I don't think there are more than that :/ I could be wrong but I don't think they worked together much. I think Markus produced the majority of the album, she keeps saying its produced by him. Seems like Ultraviolence: mostly produced by Markus with a couple produced by others

We were all pressed that we got zero Haynie song in UV but it turned out to be a good album (to me at least)

Ceremonials is one of the best albums of all time.
