Radiohead's album In Rainbows was not a surprise release, it was anounced 10 days before the release.

They've had unconventional releases, but they've never released their album out of the blue... However, Tom Yorke did surprise release his album Tomorrow’s Modern Boxes in 2014.. after Beyoncé.
David Bowie's album was not a suprise release, there was a set date, which was moved up and people knew about it.
Kate Bush has never surprise released an album, it was a surprise that she anounced a second album in late 2011, but there was a release date and a lead single.
