By the Grace of God would have been Top 10 if not for the AWFUL chorus on the album version of the song. I still do not understand why they made such a beautiful song into a horribly produced mess that sounds dated and just bad.
Katy has never sung the song like the album version, so that version being on the album itself is just so idiotic to me. With a different chorus (like the version she uses in live performances) this could definitely be one of Katy best songs and it's perfect for showing the public her more vulnerable side (part of me didn't really do much).
So much wasted potential. This song could have been a decent hit like Carrie's Something in the Water
I too was disappointed when I listened to the album version of the song for the first time last night. Live version >>>>>> album version.
I really doubt the Style video is going to make it go #1. The video would need to be amazing to have that much impact on a song that has already been exposed to the masses via radio/her album sales.
