Beck is a legend of alternative music whose album marked a return to form after an 8 year hiatus. Beyonce copied Bowie with the secret release and released a decent urban album that took inspiration by the alternative R&B movement that was beginning to cross into the mainstream. He needs to have a seat.

BEYONCÉ was a very good album and maybe should've won. But the only impact it had was the surprise release and 17 videos method, which is marketing. It had 0 impact on terms of music.

i'm shocked. but i agree with most of his comments. what she released was an entire movement, and even disregarding the records that were broken by it, it has an incredible amount of impact. and that was the music alone. idk i think it's really unfair, but i'm not saying that beck didn't deserve it. everyone who was nominated deserved that album, some others than most of course. (IMO)

What annoys me is the fact that he's being so rude and disrespectful. Saying that Beck needs to "respect artistry and gave his award to Beyonce", what the actual hell? That just comes off as him being ignorant and closed minded....acting like his opinion is fact.
It's an award. It's not THAT serious. Beyonce won a few tonight and has tons more at a home. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose. Everyone nominated in that category was nominated because they were worthy of a Grammy. You don't need to rain on his parade and his special moment because your favorite nominee didn't win. That's so rude.
I personally wanted Ed Sheeran to win, but was expecting either Sam or Beyonce to win (which I would have been fine with). I was kinda disappointed when Beck won, but after his performance tonight and the other performances I've seen from him, I respect him and can see why he won.
If he thinks Beyonce should have won, that's completely fine. But he shouldn't have run his mouth and made such a huge deal out of it, making it sound like some life or death situation and completely taking away credit from Beck.
