Would be great if it were though. I liked it since I first listened through Prism (I feel like I'm an obvious minority for that since I've seen so much hate for it but I really do like it).

A lot of us seem to like the song but we know it wouldn't do much if it was a single. Radio isn't going to use or anything but the Grammy performance is a good audience for the song so whatever.

Not necessarily. Artists don't have to be at the Grammys to win.

Case in point: Kanye West and Jay-Z sweeping the rap field in 2012 but not showing up, Prince beating out Usher in Male R&B Vocal when Prince didn't show up to receive a TELEVISED award, etc.

.... If it's true that Nicki will be presenting Best Rap Album and it goes to Iggy, etc....

I sincerely do have a feeling that Common's luck will be with him with the whole Oscar/Golden Globe/Selma buzz + the whole controversy about white acts winning over black acts. I'd be happy to take my L if I'm wrong.

I don't really get what's going on with him, I don't expect a huge promo run but the MMLP2 era was just terrible considering the name he gave to it, he messed up: Rick Rubin production, moving the release date, let the era die after January 2014, the all Shady XV album etc. Rap God, with zero radio support, will be the only thing remembered

At this point I just want a GREAT album, not ok-ish like MMLP2.
