Critics are so useless nowadays. They have a biased agenda regarding pretty much everyone, and will praise complete crap from artists if they are by someone they like, or degrade it if it is by someone they dislike.
Pretty sure critics have always been that way lol.
"Real" artists tend to sing about the same cliched piles of horse **** that fabricated mainstream pop stars sing about, but their music is usually more boring, "well-written," acoustic, and they themselves tend to be ugly. There are certainly exceptions, but at least 80% of the time, it's this scenario.
Real artists sing about anything, from love to social issues, and there aren't many of these today

Lol???? I think there's a significant difference between an actual talented musician who pens their own songs & concepts VS a constrolled pretty product constructed on tween demographics.
