Madonna's definitely way "lower" than the male legends. But it's not just her lack of timeless classics. It also has to do with how female music is perceived in general.
It's her lack of universal appeal.

Every single culture adores MJ. People in Asia and Africa worship MJ....that is not the case with The Beatles or Elvis (him especially, he was local to US/UK).

MJ is a singles artist. all of his albums are horrible besides MAYBE bad. Madonna easily made better music and was more important to pop music than he was
