It was a strong debut for sure, but I think it lacked variation and the stronger tracks massively outweighed the weaker ones. I'm anticipating improvements with this next album.

I actually loved how cohesive it was. Also, I don't think there were any weak songs on there at all. "Shuck", "Grandloves" and "Cartographist" are the only ones that were a bit mediocre, but even those I enjoyed quite a lot!

I hate the way they are mixing her vocals now, it makes it feel like more of a breathy pop solo effort and overpowers the production for me.

In Shrines it was mixed so well into the production and they felt like a band. I'm not even feeling the snares in Begin Again

because her vocals are so high in the mix.

I'm absolutely obsessed with both songs.

Different than Shrines, but I actually like this direction they're taking. Much more accessible while retaining their oddness.
