The purpose of the cake was for it to be eaten. It's not rocket science. And a bakery should be unbiased towards their customers. Customers should only be looked at as consumers. If you worked at a bakery or restaurant, would you require your customer to tell you their sexual preference or marital status? No. The owners of this bakery got what they deserved. Not only were their actions discriminatory, they consciously denied the lesbians the right to have a traditional wedding ceremony with a cake. This is a despicable behavior because they're not even abiding by the law. They're just plain disrespectful to their customers! If they can't treat all customers the same regardless of their sexuality, they should NOT be in business.
If they're also worried about going bankrupt, maybe they should've thought much harder before turning away MONEY that would've gone towards supporting their children. Stupid. This is karma coming back at them in 6 figures.
