I think I finally understand why I feel weird about 45S. I like the song, I love her vocals, I like that she's collabing with such interesting people, I like the video. But none of this feels like a lead single

Like, a three-way collab as your lead? And the constant mention of "Rihanna's new album" but we still have no info?

It's just very, very strange. Is the album even coming soon? What if we don't get it until after the tour? What if this song is meant to promote the Rih x Kanye brand moreso than R8? Is that why they performed the Diamonds remix on Saturday? Is that why Kim is liking speculative photos on IG? To get people talking about them?

I just don't feel like R8 is approaching I guess this is my first era as a stan, and logically I know that the album is coming after the tour announcement, but how could that possibly work if they're touring in March? Even if she does a J.Cole/Kanye type of release, she still needs to promote. But HOME is literally next month so she can't do that
