Perry's performance garnered 118.5 million viewers in the United States, becoming the most watched and highest rated show in Super Bowl history. This number was higher than the average viewership of the game itself, which attracted a television record number of 114.4 million.
It's funny, because if the views were less than Beyonce's or any of the recent ones, it would suddenly be because no one wanted to watch Katy and ~everyone knew it would be a trainwreck~.
But because she broke the record, suddenly it's because of the game, absolutely nothing to do with Katy and her great performance and star power.
So true.

Katy actually brought in 4 million viewers, thank you.
And wow, Twitter hashtag quantity. We are really scraping the bottom of the barrel, aren't we?
It wasn't the most watched part of the night & it wasn't the most watched tv event in US history. It was watched by 118M, later the Superbowl gained 2M, so the last part of the game was the most watched one with 120M.
katy being inspired by The Queen Of Pop Gags I see
Anyhow, katy has never been a ratings bringing pop star. Why credit her for something she is not responsible for tho? Whatever makes you feel better I guess
katy attends awards shows and she never brings high ratings. But when she performs at the most watched event in USA ( which is getting bigger with every year) with highly anticipated games, suddenly she becomes a ratings magnit. Bye
And yet in a previous thread you predicted that she would get 30 million viewers and she ended up with 118.5 million (almost 4 times the amount you predicted)

So basically you're admitting that if she flopped it would have been her fault, but because she slayed its because of the football game?
Had her performance gotten less viewership than the previous ones y'all would prance around claiming It's because of her, now that she broke the record It's all thanks to the game. Let's not.

Not being pressed. Simply posting the FACTS.
So it wasn't the most watched halftime show? The views didn't INCREASE when she performed?

You're trying to deny 1 fact: she holds the most watched superbowl halftime show ever. Your fave is gaga, tell me when that ugly fad will be close to that?
