If I cared about what people think, I would also care about the ratings each Superbowl brings in.
When stanning for someone, I'm more interested in how much effort an artist puts into what they do, and how much they try to put on a good show. I can't be bothered to spend money on someone who won't be bothered to move their ass on the stage. Seems reasonable to me.
Yeah because the audience that paid to get in, did for half-time performances
You already said it, your opinion comes from a "stanning" perspective and no one is literally going to be so invested in a Superbowl halftime performance while they're there for the game
No, they don't. When BEYST performed the ratings went down from previous year!
I can't believe the ratings were on the rise, dropped and peaked up again after Beyst, her performance
I wonder why though, isn't she some kind of American sweetheart
Madonna is an old Instagram personality these days. She collaborates with LMFAO and Nicki Minaj. Her legacy has been ruined for a LONG TIME. No one remembers her "classics," hence why her boost was so lackluster.
Explain her recurrent airplay and greatest hits sales then...
Did Bruno even perform at the Grammys, though? All I remember is him winning a Grammy, but that boost was clearly from Super Bowl.
No, he didn't. He only got this grammy for best pop album and was SNUBBED from AOTY (a joke!) and the other major categories he lost. He basically just appeared on stage for 3 minutes and said his thanks. I tried telling this yesterday to some KatyCats in the Ichunes thread, but they implied I was being obsessive/a hater and told me to chill. Go figure.
1. Madonna was all up on D'Angelo his first time around.
"When Madonna turned 39, she asked him to sing 'Happy Birthday' at her party. One press report had her sitting on his lap and French-kissing him. In fact, two sources say that ultimately D rebuffed her advances at another gathering not long after. At that event, the sources say, Madonna walked over and told a woman sitting next to D, 'I think you're in my seat.' The woman got up. Madonna sat down and told him, 'I'd like to know what you're thinking.' To which D replied, 'I'm thinking you're rude.' "
Punch, Black Messiah! Tell her that you're not having it.
