She did better than I thought she would but it wasn't amazing.

Her dancing (?) throughout the whole thing was atrocious.

Roar was okay and Dark Horse SLAYED but Teenage Dream and California Gurls felt a bit too immature and basic for the show (although the setting worked well with the songs). Also, Lenny was extremely unnecessary IMO while Missy was a great choice, those classics.

And Firework was decent (it was so obvious she would end with that) but nothing special.

Overall it was pretty average, not bad though.

That was POP dammit. She is a POP star. She is a POP legend. Her sound is entirely POP. And no, this isn't ARTPOP shade. Everything about Katy Perry just screams "pop" - her looks, her songs, her visuals. It looks colourful. It sounds colourful. It's upbeat. It's fun. It's cartoony. It's childish. I love it. I love that her artistry is so clear. Everyone knows who Katy Perry is as an artist. Her sounds and her visuals are a clear reflection of her personality - a funny goofball who doesn't take life too seriously and loves to have fun.

The way she looked happy and alive was just amazing.

The first outfit was tragic and I thought that huge lion/tiger/whatever to be a bit tacky, but the show felt perfect up to the imagery brought into for Teenage Dream/Cali Gurls, but even that felt good after all. The end was pretty much predictable, but it was also spectacular. She was good.
