Missy released two songs last year and literally no one cared or even knew they existed.
She's one of the best female hip hop artists ever but she's a fad. She never build herself a brand or anything, which is why she fell into oblivion.
Missy has also maintained a level of respect and has been a successful songwriter and producer for other artists when she was not making her own music, so she didn't "fall into oblivion".
Those songs suck, so of course no one cared or liked them. But she is not a fad. Death at you saying that she didn't build a brand for herself. Missy is paid and certified just based off the royalties she makes from producing and songwriting minor hit records in recent years. She's basically the female Pharrell.
Was expecting a rough performance but Katy really held it together well (until the messy TD part, but that didn't last very long). Wish she found a way to incorporate Missy with her own music before she performed her own material. Was expecting Missy to do Snoop's verse from CG.
That was definitely a lot better than I had expected. Although she relied heavily on the dancers / lighting / fireworks / props and stuff like that, she still managed to hold a damn note, honestly I thought her vocals were going to suck, but they were mediocre so it's all good.
I read dumb, utterly delusional **** on ATRL every time I open a tab but this is one of the worst offenses I can think of.
