Rihanna reasoning for decreasing promotional campaigns is not solely because of them, so pls. If rihanna wanted to do a huge promo campaign she would do so, a management team is not gonna hold her back from that seeing how they fully supported it at one point.
That's true but that was awhile back.. Roc Nation hasn't proven themself much since and LOUD was mainly cause L.A. Reid. Roc Nation is shaky let's say.
But ya I don't think Rihanna would ever return to huge campaign again no matter who's her management. But UA&TTT weren't messy due to the lack of promo. You can have good era and not promote alot.

This is the first time Roc Nation has ever done one of her eras, Jay Brown is her manager and a managers job is to manager her career, but promo and stuff is all managed by the labels as they pay for promo and other stuff. Jay Brown stepped in as manager the middle of the LOUD era but RocNation as a label has never managed her before
I always said this and In will say it again.. I don't want Rihanna on Roc Nation. I don't like her on Roc Nation. I feel like her career will suffer because now he has so much control over her and her career. When Jay Z left Def Jam in 2007 as its President that is when Rihanna became the superstar that she is today. It wasn't Jay Z it was LA Reid. He is the one that singlehandledly made her this superstar. Jay Z had nothing to do with it but yet he took credit. Under Jay Z's wing he was trying to make her a mini Beyonce rather than carving out her own niche by doing music Beyonce doesnt do. LA Reid saw the market for a Black Pop star and capitalize off that. I just don't like the idea of her being under Beyonce's husband. Im not saying he's gonna be malicious but at the end of the day Beyonce is his wife and he wouldn't want to see any other female artist doing better than her. Thats why its a bit scary for me. I wish she would have taken her chances and move to Epic Records back with LA. He always had her best interests at heart. Def Jam as much as we hate them at times, would NEVER allow Rih to release a risky ass song like FFS and not have suitable promo lined up. They handled Rated R perfectly in my eyes with the change of material and gave her ample promo opportunities when Russian Roulette "was not what people expected".

Her image had calmed down when she performed, she did the SB right after the Sticky and Sweet era, which was not a controversial era for her and she wasnt on instagram then so she wasnt flashing her boobs and attention whoring stuff that she does on there now
& as far as the Superbowl goes. The NFL cares about ratings and money, as long as Rihanna is relevant in the coming years they will overlook how "family friendly" she is.
The only current artist who could book the gig before her is Taylor or Pink. & the NFL wouldn't be sending tweets if they didn't want to be associated with her.
