FFS is different from all her other lead singles not because of it's sound but because it's the only one released after a lengthy break...all her other lead singles were released when she had a song still smashing from the previous era

FFS is actually performing stronger than Diamonds and WFL did in their first week but most of her singles peak in the top 5 initially only to rebound later after the Music Video, Promo, and Airplay begin to roll in.

Her song isn't even doing poorly which is why I don't understand the obsession with its performance.

Lastly, FFS is slaying RR which is the last lead single she had which was coming after 2 years of no music.

But Cockiness didn't effect Diamond's because it flopped and radio paid it dust so there was n oversaturation of Rih songs at the time. Heck.radio was anticipating Rihannas new lead single lol

i'm mainly talking about the SYG Navy

but at the same time...Rihanna is described as the queen of versatility and that anything she does will do well

at the end of the day...everyone said pop is boring without Rihanna and that she should come and save it...you don't have to be as extreme as the Monsters were but the actions before the FFS dropped and after is eerily similar to ARTPOP

she performed one song and released a completely new song a week later...to the public...they would assume the era was still going on

you really can't compare FFS to any of her other lead singles...she's been absent for a year...that's much longer than usual
