Unfortunately, I knew whatever Rih delivered wouldn't be loved on here after such a long break. If it was a dance track that sounded like a sure-fire smash, it would be called generic/basic. If it was too out there from her normal music, it would be called terrible That goes for any artist that takes a long break.
My god some people will complain about literally anything
If rih released something big like yall were hoping for (Only girl / WFL etc) you would all drag her for being basic and not showing growth and now she comes out with this and yall hate it.. whatever
Why ppl dislike this?
it's great! I was at church, i cant listen to this song, reading all your comments, like this is her end of career
and I just listened to this few mins later, wondering if I listened to wrong song because this song is great and i'm not her stan. Maybe because I kinda like country and gospel music, so this is great for me. Also she did amazing job with her vocal too
Good god. If you slap an acoustic guitar on a song it does not become a country song. It is more like Joni Mitchell folk-pop. Even if this wasn't quite what you were hoping for, you can't deny that this will sound really refreshing on top 40 radio right now. That hook is golden. I can already picture a healthy radio stint, an emotionally charged Grammy's performance, and then it becoming a staple song for reality singing competitions (like seriously though, if this song takes off there is no way someone won't be singing it at some point during this season of The Voice).
I'm honestly just glad it isn't some trap DJ Mustard/MikeWillMadeIt nonsense. Those songs are fine and all, but Mustard is quickly becoming the new Pharrell in that a few big hits lead everyone to flock to him resulting in a bunch of mediocre songs.
Agree with homebrand
anyway Rihanna always a trendsetter not a follower
who brought the EDM trend? Rihanna with We Found Love
who brought Sia trend? Rihanna with Diamonds
