If you feel like this, there's no point, what's the point if he's constantly belittling you? There's this guy I met and we fooled around and now he wants to take it further but idek why, I just get the feeling that I shouldn't be doing this, I've avoided him for like 3 days now I'm so lost

Well not everyone is the same and not everyone is good at talking to people. But you can learn to become better at it. Theres a lot of websites that might help you. The best thing you can do is just ask a lot of open questions so the other person has a lot to tell, not just yes or no. And when he mentions a game or movie you know or a country youve been to etc you start talking about that. When someone asks you something give a long answer, they might respond to something you say. If that dont you just say 'and you?'

Dont think about it too much and dont be scared to be weird or too personal. Just say what you feel and think

No I can 'talk' to strangers, rather easily actually.
But never on a fun level, it's always just casual.

Like my bf can be at a festival, meet a group of strangers and have everone ask his phone # within half an hour

Wow I dont want to come between your relationship but I want you to realize that a relationship should be about love, trust and caring about each other. That includes listening to each other. The last thing you want in a relationship is to hurt your partners feelings. You should be able to talk about it with him and you both should work on solving the problem.
You have to be clear to him about what is hurting you and he must listen.
