I don't have time for Bey and her nonsense anymore. After self-titled i had so much respect for her but she's done her fans bad this era by not doing more live performances. Is it even a Bey era without endless iconic performances?

It's a bit irritating when you see songs like 7/11 which you know would easily go top 10 if it was provided some promotion or maybe even a pop adds date...

A sad tradition that goes back all the way to Upgrade U...and then Diva....songs radio played almost of its own accord and Bey flat out refused to promote (****, Diva was peaking on radio and she was still performing the same worn out Single Ladies choreo at every single award show imaginable).

I like that Beyonce is not promoting singles this era....it stays true to the message.

I do hope she promotes next go around but I'm thinking she's Kanye/Jay status now---no need to promote...the album sells and the tours sell out.

I AGREE. she's been secretly building her due respect in the industry since her first solo era.

Dangerously In Love: coming out with CRAZY IN LOVE a fairly out the chain song with a lot of fanfare and funk elements. everybody loved the song when it was not meant to smash compared to the trends at the time.

Destiny Fulfilled: showing that she still stays faithful to her promises (of coming back to her group at least for one album whatever her success is solo)

B'Day: as a performer; everybody knew she could dance but with B'Day she came with stronger vocals stronger stage presence and conviction. + Dreamgirls (she gained a lot of love from Hollywood personalities around that time)

I Am .... Sasha Fierce: 1) Single Ladies is when people started considering her as a feminist ICON and the women #1 source of inspiration. 2) people also trusted her power to move masses with the dance crazes. that's mean a lot after +11 years of careers. 3) at last the fact that she touched different sounds (previously untouched) successfully showed that she's among the greatest (Etta James said that a great singer can slay anything). folk (thats why youre beautiful), acoustic (satellites), electropop (sweet dreams), Europop (radio), eletro-r&b (video phone), pop ballad (halo), folk rock (if i were a boy)....etc


4 : going back to a mix of 80s traditional pop and 90s r&b in middle of a electro/DJ music craze and still selling good with a very good reception from the critics helped her building her respect too. she headlined Glastonbury (first female in history) and she also anounced her pregnancy to the general enthusiasm (more twetted than Ben Laden death).

SELF TITLED: no words needed. surprise album --> itunes record ---> no promo ----> quality music ---> magnum opus ---> commercial success --> classic ---> history.

I wonder what is her next step.
