I still don't get how grindr works. It is like tamagochi/pokewalker/nintendo 3ds and when two gays walk close to eachother there's a notification on their phone that says "hi, you crossed roads with stephen, and you both like the d!" and if you like, you contact that person or what?

You don't need to walk close to each other, the profiles of people who are close to you are shown and you choose who you wanna send a message to, And then everything goes from there.....

But what if you are not in the mood? You still have to date someone or else you're deleted? Arranged marriage teas
Edit: Wait, so you have to go out to collect the gays you want to date? Pokémon teas also

If you are not in the mood then you don't browse the app. You don't have to date someone.....you just see what's out there. I guess hooking up is kind of Pokemon-ish if you ask me
That's exactly what Grindr is about. Usually people first ask if the other person wants to do it then comes the top or bottom question, did you follow that order?
The people who believe they'll find romance on Grindr are so delusional no offense
