Cara Delevingne performs at Dubai Mall, Livestreamed on Yahoo Homepage
716 Words
Cara Delevingne just flew from Hong Kong to Dubai for a sold out concert at Meydan (which can fit over 60 thousand people) as part of her brand new world tour the Distant Horizon World Tour which has already toured in Japan, China and now the UAE. After a few appearances around dubai going shopping wearing various designers that go from Micheal Kors to Alexander McQueen. Cara finally reached the largest mall in the world, Dubai Mall. The luxurious mall features hundreds of stores and thousands of people gather inside the mall every single day. At the arrival at Dubai mall, Cara was wearing a beautiful yellow dress with a a pair of black heels and a Micheal Kors handbag, and she was followed by paparazzi and fans throughout the mall, until she had apparently got into a VIP part of the mall which was heavily guarded.
However out of nowhere Cara stood up on a stage which had been built within an hour before the appearance. The stage only had Cara's new album 'Distant Horizon' cover as background but had an impressive amount of lights around the stage, which took an impressive amount of space around the mall's gigantic aquarium, which had been closed for the day, which annoyed some tourists who still were next to the aquarium when Cara's surprise performance started which made everyone go watch Cara. During the length of the mini concert, Cara was the center of attention of basically everyone in the mall, as every single other part of the huge mall was empty. Thousands apparently managed to watch the concert and videos quickly spread throughout social media, who went into a frenzy as Cara was rumored to do more surprise concerts as she travels around the world. News outlets started reporting about the event and the news of Cara Delevingne's concert was everywhere. The show was professionally filmed and aired on local UAE Television and was livestreamed on Yahoo as well, which had the livestream at the top of it's front page. Two of the songs performed were also uploaded to Cara's VEVO those songs being 'Honey', Cara Delevingne's current and second single from her album 'Distant Horizon' and her lead single 'La Belle' which was a worldwide smash.
Cara's performance started with 'La Belle' which immediately got everyone in the mall trying to find from where the song was coming, where it was performed, as it was a huge smash. "You guys, if you kno the lyrcis, sing them with me!" she said, as she was dancing around the stage. Cara only had 3 dancers to support her who were doing a simplified choreography to accommodate a smaller stage than usual. When the song ended, Cara quickly transitioned to 'Kiss To My Heart' which even if it wasn't as much of a hit as La Belle, still reached the top 20 and was recognized by some people in the audience. During the emotions filled performance, Cara's dancers were performing a slower and more graceful choreography, up to the breakdown, during which Cara and the dancers started moving in impressive ways to go with the EDM beat. She followed with a performance of 'Distant Horizon'.
To end the small 3 songs long mini concert, Cara sang her latest single 'Honey'. The performance started off slowly while the dancers were right next to Cara. The introduction of the song was extended to allow and extra part of a choreography to be added. While the beat was getting faster and faster as the chorus approached, Cara's choreography started getting more and more complicated. The concert ended as Cara said goodbye to the crowd and thanked the people attending for being amazing before going backstage and signing a few autographs on her way out, wearing a beautiful long black dress along with a few golden details which were reminiscent of the local traditional outfits.
The concert made an important impact on Cara's sales due to the amount of times the news of the concert had been reported and how it was livestreamed on Yahoo's homepage bringing some impressive amount of views (the livestream reached over 5 million viewers at it's peak time).Cara Delevingne's new album 'Distant Horizon' is now available and features the smash single 'La Belle' and the hit single 'Honey'.

Lady Gaga on On Air With Ryan Seacrest

*plays PARTYNAUSEOUS (feat. Madonna)*
Ryan: And that was Lady Gaga and Madonna with PARTYNAUSEOUS. And we have one-half of that duet, Lady Gaga is in the studio with us right now!
Gaga: Hi! Good Morning.
R: Good morning to you! Obviously, because you were on the show, my Twitter account has absolutely blown up and been torn to pieces by your rabid little monsters.
G: *laughs* Of course, I love them so much.
R: You really are blessed with such a dedicated fanbase. So, let’s get straight into it. How exactly did this collaboration with Madonna come about?
G: Well, I asked Madonna to be on the song, because I really thought the track was missing something. I was working with Fernando Garibay and Purity Ring on the song, and I just thought that final version was a little empty. And the concept is about feuding and coming together in love and harmony, and I thought that’d be appropriate for a collab with Madonna *giggles*.
R: Yes, because you were both feuding, or had beef as the kids say nowadays. So how long were you friends for.
G: Well, I didn’t view it as that you know. I never disliked or hated her, and I never thought we were best friends or anything. But, yeah there was tension which was really created by the media and the fans for the most part, but we weren’t in contact really until I asked her to do “PARTYNAUSEOUS” with me. And we settled whatever was there, I don’t really know what, but now we are such good friends and she has given me the best advice. It’s a bit of a sisterly bond.
R: Well, that’s great to here. The song is amazing by the way, as well as the production. So this next album-
G: Yes!
R: Who will the producers be?
G: Well, I don’t want to give too much away, I want it to have that element of surprise, of course. But like I said, Fernando Garibay and Purity Ring are producers on the album along with other amazing producers, some I’ve worked with before, and some absolutely brand new.
R: Can’t you give us another name?
G: No! I refuse.
R: Please? One that you’ve worked with before?
G: Well, one I think my fans maybe excited about, RedOne is on the album.
R: Oh wow!
G: Yes! I don’t know if I’ll ever not work with him. He’s amazing.
R: And you really do click, musically. Like in “Just Dance” and etcetera.
G: Of course, and I’m really excited to unveil the work we’ve done together this time, as I am all the other songs, but you’ll all just have to be patient.
R: Wow, what a tease!
G: *laughs* I’m sorry.
R: So, how are things with Taylor?
G: Things?
R: You know, relationship-wise?
G: Good.
R: For people that don’t know, Gaga is dating Taylor Kinney of “Chicago Fire”.
G: *laughs*
R: Are you getting nervous?
G: Well, you know I don’t like being too open, Ryan.
R: OK, fine I’ll stop.
G: OK.
R: Is there wedding bells on the horizon?
G: *laughs* Maybe not.
R: What?! Babies, then?
G: You have to stop! *laughs*
R: So, change of discussion, you and Britney Spears are signed to the same label now, PRiNXESS recordings. And you both left your major labels to go to this independent one. I don’t understand? Did you make this decision together?
G: No, actually we didn’t. PRiNXESS is a pretty big label, it’s just brand new. Independent doesn’t always mean small and indie. Obviously, me and Britney are big artists so the label’s gotta be big too. But, Interscope was just too restricting of my creativity and budgets on certain projects were getting too tight, believe it or not, and I think that was the problem with Britney’s label for her too. So, we both made a decision to join this innovative label, where we can have input and we can think. I really don’t mind if a label is short on money, I’m Lady Gaga. I’ll pay for it myself. But it was, “no, no, no. We can’t let you do that”. But now, because like I said PRiNXESS is independent, they can afford things of course, but I do put things together along with the label because I’m a major artist, and I’m generally a bossy strong female and I do things of my own back.
R: Do you think that perhaps that they weren’t giving you those freedoms because you’re a woman?
G: Of course. Absolutely.
R: And do you see a collaboration with Britney in the future?
G: We’ll see. We’ll see.
R: I’m gonna take that as a “yes” and an On Air with Ryan Seacrest exclusive!
G: *laughs* Take it however you want. It’s not a “yes” or a “no”.
R: Well now I’m not sure. Anyway, thank you for being here today.
G: Thank you for having me! It’s been fun.

Christina releases music video for Amethyst Bleach

At midnight, Christina Aguilera released the music video for her song Amethyst Bleach which serves as the third single off of her 2015 release and her 8th studio album - Truth Pill. This quite conveniently follows the unexpected release of Amethyst Bleach's lyric video which was met with a lot of praise albeit a little bit of controversy was thrown into the mix with it too, of course. The music video is the third music video from the Truth Pill era as Christina aims to up her profile and presence on various social media platforms, including her official VEVO page and Youtube overall. Last year, three of her music video were VEVO certified which essentially means that they passed the 100 million views mark which is a big deal nowadays especially when taking into consideration how "out of touch" Christina can sometimes be compared to other artists due to the generation she was brought up in i.e. a generation where none of the stuff that is in existence today was even a thought back then. Having said that, Christina has done a lot to boost an area she lacks in which can be referred collectively to as "interaction" since she also has a few issues with making sure that people get the best from who Christina Aguilera is instead of this "bitchy" persona that everyone makes her out to be. Nevertheless, Christina acknowledges this and has tried to improve in that regard which can definitely be seen by how much she's interacted with her fans over the Internet. We feel that this is a definite step in the right direction and we can only foreshadow even more great things to come from the voice of our generation.
In the music video, Amethyst Bleach is a key focus and the central theme to what is going on. The music video portrays Christina to be a celestial being who is hanging on a tree by her hair which strangely resembles a bird's nest. She tantalises and even teases the camera as it slowly passes her, fading away into stark darkness. Christina is then seen crawling out of a mud pit while singing the airy, almost whimsical first verse. It cuts to another scene where Christina is proudly donning her cherry black bleached hair as her skin turns a blotchy red. Then in comes a dance break which is pretty much a rarity in Christina Aguilera's case. However, it was definitely a pleasant surprise. A few backup dancers joined her as they did a stoic choreography routine as black trees - yes, black trees - surrounded them like a terrace. We're now at the chorus as it appears that Christina is suffocating but she does not struggle. Her eyes are streaming with neon and it seems as though Christina is now a vacant vessel ready for any demonic soul to posses. And we were right! Christina's limbs start flailing about as she walks into the middle of a Middle Eastern flea market and starts ravaging entire stalls to bits and pieces. The onlookers are at first scared but as soon as Christina stares directly at them... they begin to walk away sobbing. At this moment in the music video, things start to get extremely intense. It's almost like a rush of adrenaline that spikes you up every now and again. This is perfectly complimented and accompanied by the same bipolar effect in the song - Amethyst Bleach - itself where the verses are quite light and fluffy while the chorus is barren and gritty. A nice contrast which definitely shows off all the great sides of Christina Aguilera.
Ever since its release a few hours ago, the music video has started to gain a bit of momentum on Youtube. The music video is actually featured on Youtube's homepage, specifically the section listed where it says: "Popular Now" and "What's New". This is great business in terms of making sure that the music video gets streamed as much as possible since that does play a key factor into what the general public takes a particular liking to. The music video for Amethyst Bleach is in no way the best music video that Christina Aguilera has ever done. With that being said, it's vastly different to her other ones and originality is something that should be more recognised.

Cara Delevingne on the cover of Harper's Bazaar
707 Words
Cara Delevingne covered this month's issue of Harper's Bazaar, which features multiple aspects of Cara's life and talks with her concerning various topics. The issue covered by Cara is now available and even features inside every copy a discount code when redeemed on ITunes will lower the price of both 'La Belle' and 'Honey' to 0.69$. The photoshoot for the cover of Harper's Bazaar features over 15 pictures which were posted online on the Harper's Bazaar official website (the pictures were also all over social media and discussed on TV shows such as E News) and about 8 of those pictures are featured inside the actual magazine sold.
Cara discussed topics such as her music and the album 'Distant Horizon', the media and the attention she's getting because of her relationship with Kendall Jenner and the possible E! show, fashion and her career:
Cara on 'Distant Horizon':
The album is really an amazing conclusion of months of work which made me re-think many things concerning my life. I really love everything about it, from the visuals, to the production, the lyrics and the collaborators. The tour has been amazing so far and will expand greatly. I'm so excited to perform more dates of the tour as it gives me the opportunity to bring the album to life.
On the 'Distant Horizon' Re-Release:
I'm actually done with some new material which will be included on the album's re-release and will be released as Fifty Shades of Grey's official soundtrack. I'm so excited to have been chosen for the project. The movie also actually uses various songs included on the original album such as 'Corset', 'Honey' and 'Like It Like That' which are all very sex songs.
On her relationship with Kendall Jenner:
It all began at a party where we met like a few years ago. I think we both felt something at that moment but we just turned friends and besides I was saying Harry Styles at the time. Back in September we had a small night out together during which we got very drunk, started kissing and we ended up sleeping at my apartment, and we got to know each other actually when we woke up as we felt that we had to explain all the kissing. We ended up going on a date and it worked out amazingly well. Since then the relationship only helped me positively. It's been great really, ever since it started my life feels way happier.
On the media and her private life:
If I want to open up about something I'll do it. I'm strongly against what some people did to me and leaked private pictures me and Kendall took together and everything that relates to that. We weren't exactly ready to reveal anything back at that moment but we had to confirm it. The leakers were caught and we sued them and won but it's still not enough personally because they attacked my private life and won't stop other people from doing it.
On the possible E! show:
Well E! approached me to have my own show on the channel and I'm actually interested in doing it, it seems fun and I'm already featured on Keeping up with the Kardashians and even though I appreciate my own privacy my show would still happen and for a limited time cameras would follow me around. If it's happening, it will only be a small show.
On transitioning from modeling to another career & Fashion:
Being a model was amazing and I still enjoy modeling. However I know that I won't be able to be a ful time model in a few years due to my age, which is why I tried acting and singing and turned out successful in it. While people say that such career moves don't require much effort due to being a celebrity, it's actually really hard because after all it's a completely different career. I'll always be a big fashionista though, that is an interest that will never end.
On the future:
I'm working on a new album. I've been working on it for just like a month but we're well into the overall production of it. It's going well and I'm really excited to reveal it.

Britney Spears starts new hashtag, #BRTNYBLCKT2k15
Britney Spears has posted a dark and minimalistic image teasing a possible new project named #BRTNYBLCKT2k15. Fans have deciphered this message as “Britney Spears – Blackout 2015”, or rather the “Blackout 2.0” project she teased on Twitter back in 2012. “Blackout” is Spears’ 5th studio album from 2007, the same year that she was going through personal and mental struggles and infamously shaved her head. Louisiana-born Britney tweeted “#iknowishouldnthavekeptyouwaiting” and “#BRTNYBLCKT2k15”, the former being a lyric from the 2008 “Blackout” hit single, “Break The Ice”.
Britney has recently left long-time label Zomba and RCA, and has joined fresh and independent label PRiNXESS recordings due to “creative differences” alongside former-Interscope artist and fellow female pop icon, Lady Gaga. No collaboration is confirmed, but Gaga recently collaborated with long-time rival and queen of pop Madonna for their new single, “PARTYNAUSEOUS”.
Excitement built earlier today in Britney’s fanbase, the “Army” when Britney changed her twitter DP to a blank black image and are now anticipating a sequel to Spears' fan-favourite and most acclaimed album, "Blackout". The #BRTNYBLCKT2k15 teaser has been uploaded onto the “Womanizer” hit-maker’s official website, Facebook account and other official internet and social media platforms.
#BRTNYBLCKT2k15 is no. 2 in the WW Twitter Trends, and is expected to rise up.

NATALIA KILLS ON THE BIG MORNING BUZZ ON VH1. TALKS ALBUMS + PLAYS COVEN de COUTURE MUSIC VIDEO
(2464 words)

After grinding underground for so long and even putting out a major project – The Ko-Motion Album and The Restless EP, one of CAL’s best female vocalists eventually got signed up to a modest music label and is now reaping the fruits of her hardwork and that which her massive talent truly deserves. Here’s more on this prodigiously talented artiste and to start off the year 2015, Morning Buzz Hype serves you NATALIA KILLS!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Natalia Kills, how are you doing?
I’m awesome, thank you.
Can I get to know more about you?
Well, my full name is Natalia Cappucinni but everyone calls me NATALIA KILLS. I am a singer, songwriter, signed to VDK Music. I’m the last of 4 children from my Mum and the only girl.
How did the music all start for you?
Professionally, I’ve been doing music for 6 years now and I started with rock music. I had an album then called “KO-MOTION” and I had a song on radio – War, Lies, Love, Money. It was very nice starting out. Along the line, I’ve leant so much and I think I have grown as an artiste in terms of skill and knowledge.
Did you also start from the Church like most other artistes?
Well, it depends on what you mean by that. I started with kinda gospel music. I was in the teenage choir but I’ve never really been in any other choir besides that. I wasn’t in any major choir.
You wrote your very first song at the age of 10. When exactly did you get that conviction that music was for you?
At that age of 10, I knew but maybe I wasn’t completely aware of it because I was still like a young kid and all of that but I’ve always been drawn to it. I didn’t really listen to a lot of music, growing up. As much as I love music, I didn’t really listen to so many because I wasn’t in a family where music was a thing but I was always drawn to music.
While you were in School then, were you ever in a group? And who were those that had a great impact on your career as an artiste?
I never really went to a “University”, I actually was never in a group but we had open mic nights and every once in a while, I will go on stage and do a couple of songs. Altogether, I played like over 50 times in pubs and bars but people knew me and that really boosted my ego. I can never despise those days because I remember it really encouraged me to do more. I remember I used to have stage fright but then I overcame that and people really enjoyed what I was doing. I was in a very dark phase when I started recording for the rock Ko-Motion album. VDK used to come to my club shows then and both of us just had this chemistry going and then we just figured out a way forward and it worked really well then. Without those days, there won’t be this day.
Right then, who were those people you looked up to in the industry?
I do get inspirations but not in the way that you would expect. There’s no one person that has influenced me. I’ m very fickle when it comes to influences. I can be into one person for month and the next month, I could move on to another person or nobody at all. It depends on what’s happening in my head at that time. There was a time that I was really into Lauryn Hill. There are days that I would love Indie Arie. Right now, I’m even more into CAL music. So for me, it’s up and down.
Now, let’s talk about your first body of work – The KO-MOTION Album. What brought about the rock thing?
I’ve always been like a very stubborn person. I never do things because they don’t want me to do it something. I remember then that I used to try to write love songs but they wouldn’t come. I don’t know if it’s because I started by writing rock songs and I was like I’m going to do rock songs and I was so happy. I remember one time my Mum called me and said “Oh Natalia, you know you can do love songs too”. That was where my heart was and I follow my heart a lot so there were a couple of those kind of songs there too
Tell us more about the KO-MOTION Album.
Ko-Motion! That’s my first love. I had like songs like every genre. It had hip hop, RnB, Pop and all of that. My favourite song on the album was “Saturday Night”. I wrote it for my Mum and it’s funny that that’s the song on the album that I really like most. I had songs over time and when it was time to drop the album, we just had to put things in place. The hardest song to write was the biggest song on the album and that was War, Lies, Love, Money. It was the first ‘very fast’ song that I actually wrote.
Album was produced only by Jeff Bhasker?
Yes, only by Jeff Bhasker.
You said Saturday Night was your best song on the album. What was the inspiration behind the song?
Just my Mum. I love that woman to bits. She’s like my rock. She was the only one for me then and would go to work early and come back late at night. So, I could have gone astray but the thing that kept me going was she, besides God. I never wanted to disappoint her. I wanted a way to express what I feel about her. I wanted the world to know how much I love her. I remember recording the song on and I burnt the song on a CD, gave it VDK to give to her on her birthday. I wasn’t around then and the album wasn’t out yet. I’m definitely gonna write another song to make the world know much more about her.
What caused the switch from rock to these happier, more upbeat music? Was rock not paying or what?
Well… To be honest, rock doesn’t pay as much as pop music does but that was not the reason. For me, I started looking at music as a professional job. It started more as a hobby then but later, I started to look for ways on how I can write less rock songs and more love songs and all of that.
There was a time people actually thought you could only do cover of songs and nothing more. How did you feel with that kind of view?
Oh, I don’t let it get to me. No matter how good you are, everybody can’t like your music. What I try to do is focus on your good energy. I love criticism a lot because it gives me the energy to wanna do more great things. I don’t feel bad about it. I hear people ask me then why I don’t do my own original songs but the thing is that when you’re a new artiste, people don’t pay attention to you when you do your own song but when you do a cover of a popular artiste’s song that people already know.
Let’s talk about the “Restless EP”. Was it your idea to just do ALL covers on the EP then or what?
Yes. It’s actually called `Restless’ because I was restless at that time. I wasn’t signed to VDK Music by that time and I remember Jeff and I were already working together. He was trying to get me a deal. So, I had a lot of time on my hands. I wanted to put out something because I wanted people to know that I’m doing something. I didn’t even tall Oscar about it until I was almost done because I recorded at home. I decided to put it out as an EP because I didn’t want to release covers every week so that they won’t term me the ‘Cover Girl’ like you said earlier. So, It was a great project that I actually made to be mine – I took a different direction with it. I changed the stories, lyrics and so many other things in all the songs on that EP. I wanted to introduce my style.
You got signed to VDK Music last year. How did that happen?
VDK, who is the CEO heard the cover I did last year – Drake’s ‘Marvin’s Room’. He liked it and sent for me. That was actually the first cover he ever heard me do and that was last year. We had a meeting and he wasn’t really sure of what box to put me. After that time, I started working with Jeff and he was doing some wok with VDK Music as well. So, somehow things just came together.
Your first single under VDK Music – War, Lies, Love, Money. “War, Lies, Love, Money” seems to be the breakout song for you. Was that song written from experience?
I guess I wrote it from experience. When people ask this question, I just try to tell them ‘Yes’. I was trying to find something that people can tap into, that everyone can relate with. I have fallen in love a couple of times, so It was from my experience as well. I also wanted it to be someone’s experience.
Let’s talk about the Industry – The competition and all of that. How exactly do you see it?
I don’t look at it as competition, although you have people who are trying to be as successful in the same business as you and you know that you can’t sit down and expect things to come easily. I’m the kind of person that thinks that we all have to support each other because there’s enough room. Fans are not looking to buy only one person’s music so I think that there’s room for everybody to grow. Sometimes, I could hear something from another artiste and think it’s really nice and I then try to do something better but I don’t view it in a way whereby I’m trying to make the person lower than me.
So, how’s your relationship with other female artistes in the industry?
Right now, one thing I’m trying to do is get out of my shell more. I’m actually not the ‘going out’ type of person. I could be home all day trying to record or reading a book, honestly. Right now, I try to mingle more and I think I’m still pretty new. So, I think that with more time, I’ll definitely get to create a good relationship with them.
Natalia Kills, 2014 is almost done and dusted! What should be expecting from you in the New Year – 2015?
I really would not say 2014 is done and dusted for me in terms of music because I can say with some sense of assurance that something will definitely drop before the year runs out but then if it doesn’t, then early next year. I’m putting out more singles next year as well as videos. The album is also coming out next year! So, there’s plenty to do.
Being regarded as one of the best vocalists out of CAL is big enough and people actually expect a lot more from you. Where do you see yourself in 5 years time?
Thank you for the recognition. Well, In 5 years, I see myself getting to that heights of Taylor Swift and even much more. She’s my biggest role model right now. A lot of people are famous for their fashion, scandals and all of that but Taylor Swift is famous for her music only. Her music is very popular as well as very nice. I can’t wait for her next album. I really want my music to go beyond the shores of this continent, beyond the shores of several countries. I want people to think of pop Music and think ‘Natalia Kills’.
If there was a song you wished you wrote and performed, what song would that be?
I think that right now, it would be ‘Sia – Chandelier’, that’s outside of CAL. But in CAL, I think any song on Taylor’s new album would do. I love that album and it’s really hard picking the best. In fact, ALL of them!
Challenges faced in the industry as a new artiste?
That’s a very interesting question. I think that with time and with every stage that you are as an artiste, you’d face different challenges. There’s a time when you’re looking for recognition, you just want someone to listen to what you do. There’s also a time when you want someone to put money on what you do. There’s also the time where you’re looking for the gains of doing the music. So, the challenges pretty much never stops. There’s a saying that every challenges that gets solved is a pathway to another. Never get to celebrate your challenges for too long because another one might just be around the corner.
The Album – When should we be expecting it?
The only information I can give you is next year.
Sure?
Yes, sure. What would I be doing? **laughs**
Relationship with your label boss, VDK.
Oh, that is my brother. We are cool and as much as possible, we support each other and we have each other’s back any day and any time. He’s my guy!
Now, I’m gonna put you right on the spot here. Who are your Top 3 female artistes in CAL this year?
Really? Okay, Miley Cyrus has to be there. Miley Cyrus, Azealia Banks and uhhmmm, of course Taylor Swift. Miley has been the most hardworking this year for me. Azealia released a dope album and I think every other person did well too. Everybody has their own hustle.
Finally, is there any final word to fans out there that have supported your music from Day 1?
To my fans whom I like to call my friends, I love you guys so much. I get more love than I get criticism and even the criticism is because of the love. I really cannot wait to keep your love forever. I talk a lot on Twitter so you can connect with me there – @NataliaKills and on Instagram – iamNatalia Kills. I’m also on Facebook – www.facebook.com/NataliaKills. My Website: www.NataliaKills.com
Thanks for your time, Natalia Kills.
Thank you, Morning Buzz!! I had fun! Love you. Muah XX

NATALIA KILLS' BEHIND THE MUSIC. "COVEN DE COUTURE", "WHIRLWIND", "WAR, LIES, LOVE, MONEY", "EYES SHUT" FEATURED IN SPECIAL.
1360 words

Natalia Kills needs no formal introduction on Create A Label. Her music was first featured on the site in 2013 and since then she has dropped music regularly due to her songwriting deal she got with VDK records. She just released her sophomore full length studio album and it has already gone gold selling over 500,000 copies in its first week and resting solidly at number 6 on the albums chart. Her single Coven de Couture has also sold over 700,000 copies and currently sits at no.5 on the singles chart. To take us through her journey and Behind The Music, please welcome Natalia Kills
**Snippet of Eyes Shut plays**
As far as you can remember, how long have you been interested in music?
Since I was about 9 or 10…most of my life to be really honest
So how did you realize that you could sing and how did you go from singing for fun to singing as a career?
I think I realized when I would hear that I could actually mimic what some singers were doing, like I could learn and copy their ad libs and runs. I got my first paid gig as a background singer for Robyn but only after I got signed to VDK Records as a singer-songwriter was when I started earning money from music alone and not needing a day job.
Wow! Robyn? How did you get that gig?
Someone heard me singing at this local talent show and recommended me to the music director for Robyn. He was looking for background singers and so I went to audition and I got it. The show was in Wembley arena in front of about 80,000 people. That show changed my life and I knew in my heart that one day I would be singing on a stage like that.
That’s big; Wembley Arena and you went on to sing backup for Sting, Mary J Bige and a few others. I heard that you used to perform at local clubs and pubs? How was that experience like and what did it teach you?
Wow that was such an eye-opening experience, it was also a painful experience ’cause obviously I wanted to get through every night with something to eat and somewhere to sleep but it gave me a taste of what having great exposure is and how to work to handle it. In hindsight I am blessed to not have made it because I would not have been blessed to sign with VDK Records.
Very True. Speaking of VDK Records how did you land that deal?
It was by the grace of God. I was performing at one of the bars, Highline Ballroom actually in New York one evening. I was living in NY then and my visa was about to expire, the C.E.O of VDK Records, VDK heard me singing and watched me performed and so he asked me to come to his office the next day. He heard my original demo songs. They were kinda rough, kinda sketchy, really cheap production but he loved them and offered me a deal. It was such a blessing from God because in one second my situation changed for the better.
What inspired ‘War, Lies, Love, Money’… that was your first official single and breakout song in retrospect. You pretty much talked about a lot of society’s flaws and it was just a risky song especially being your debut… And how did you come up with the sound and direction of how you composed the song? It’s different.
**Snippet of War, Lies, Love, Money plays**
War, Lies, Love, Money was a song I wrote in one of the most terrible and angriest moments in my life. I remember after performing a gig at one of the night clubs I usually performed at, this drunk insane guy came up to me and started touching me thinking I was one of the ladies of the night. I told him to get his hands off of me and he began getting violent. It really escalated really quickly and even after the whole thing was settled down and all, he began to follow me, he became a stalker…planned this whole love scenario **** in his head, it was just sad to see to be honest!
You are now in full Artiste Mode even though you still have your writer mode on. What are your plans now as an artiste especially for the future? We know that right now, your new album “The Definition of Bad” is doing really really well on the charts and your single “Coven de Couture” has quickly risen to become one of the biggest songs of the year. You are on tour also…but after all of these things, what do you think is next for you?
Well, right now I’m honestly just focused mainly on promoting the new music and being on the road with this new tour. I have my fashion line that you are aware of and I’m also a brand ambassador for a couple of brands right now. I’m thinking of starring in a major role for an upcoming movie…something badass, something action-y….it’s what I’m sort of looking towards and hopefully I get a role like that, something that can just take everybody by storm and be really in their face and all that. I think it would be fun
**Snippet of Whirlwind plays**
We hear you also have a song recorded with the producer David Guetta. How was it working with him in the studio and can we expect any other major producers or artistes on any upcoming album?
David Guetta is soooo amazing. We had instant chemistry and the record we did which is actually for his own record is so unexpected. I love the song and it is featuring somebody special I cannot say just yet. He is one to watch out for; his voice is so sweet. I am hoping to work with more artists and producers in my next album. People didn’t expect that I could do a song like Coven de Couture, they thought I was just an edgy violent type of singer but now people see a different side to me. So me collaborating with someone like Ariana Grande would not be so far-fetched. I admire independent and hardworking artistes so much and am looking forward to working with so many people on my next record
Yes when I heard Coven de Couture, it pleasantly surprised me. When I found out it was actually official and the first single off the new record, I was soo blown away. The music video too was really insane. How did you record a song like that?
Coven de Couture was my 1st single off of this new album, it wasn’t going to be but it got out and I started getting great reviews about it. Girls loved it and so we decided to go ahead with it. The video was just an idea that myself and Natasha Bedingfield whom is a really close friend of mine came up with together, it was really spontaneous and just sounded like so much fun. It came out really great and now it’s VEVO certified and all that, I’m so proud of it.
**Snippet of Coven de Couture Music Video plays again**
Right now, the “Definition of Bad World Tour” is underway. How does it feel being back on the road and what’s different?
It’s always amazing being back on the road. I mean, it’s always a lot of fun with the band and the crew and with most importantly my fans…it’s been really amazing being back. In terms of difference, I mean, it’s just a bigger show and a longer show, we are playing what? 27 songs?? It’s really intense but it’s a whole lot of fun.
Thank you for stopping by to talk with us Natalia Kills and we hope to see more of you in the days to come.
Here is Coven De Couture by Natalia Kills and don’t forget to pick up her new album “The Definition of Bad”

NATALIA KILLS’ “THE DEFINITION OF BAD WORLD TOUR” FEATURED ON MTV WORLD STAGE. PERFORMANCES INCLUDED “COVEN de COUTURE”, “WAR, LIES, LOVE, MONEY”, “EYES SHUT”, “WHIRLWIND”. Also does quick cover of Ariana Grande's "Heartbreak"
845 words

Natalia Kills is still on the road promoting her latest album, “The Definition of Bad”. The songstress stopped by New Jersey’s Metlife Stadium for her 4th appearance and MTV’s World Stage cameras came up to meet her for some exclusive professional looks into the show. Natalia and VDK Records made sure that the footage was kept to a minimal and well-orchestrated because they didn’t want to give too much away with other surprises for fans being underway. The footage of the captured parts.
“WHIRLWIND” performance .
Natalia appears on stage with a big poofy afro wig reminiscent of the typical 80s hair. She completed the look with glittery pants that poofed up at the bottom and a glittery corset and glittery blazer. All the other dancers dressed accordingly as well and the atmosphere of the music was kept right with the lights turning a subltle mix of red, green, and blue lights pulsating on stage giving the entire stadium a disco feel. Natalia came out and did a little Michael Jackson-esque dance with the instrumental of Whirlwind before taking the microphone and singing the song. She patted her weave, swayed her hips, moved her neck to the music and did a lot of 80s dance moves. Towards the end of the song, the dancing got more and more intense as the dancers began to dance and dance into a circular pattern reminiscent of an actual whirlwind. They ran circles around Kills and as Kills continued to look dazed while singing, a jolt of smoke came from beneath of Kills and her dancers and they all disappeared in a poof of smoke and vibration as the music came to an end.
“EYES SHUT” Performance:
MTV did a time-jump because they were not allowed to show the full show but different assigned parts of the night. Natalia was sitting on a stool and she had her phone in her hand. She said to the audience:
“You are the best and most beautiful peole in the world. Each and everyone of you in this stadium that came out to see this girl from London living out her dreams and singing the songs that she loves for her best people in the world, thank you so much! You make all of this possible.”
She then continued:
“Now I know some of you may be going through some sort of heartbreaks. Somebody that you invested your time and love into may just have let you go, they may just have betrayed you but let me tell you this…you deserve better! Anybody that can look at any of your beautiful faces and say that you are not deservant of the world is not worthy of your love.
**Natalia sings the chorus of Ariana Grande’s Heartbreak softly accapella before continuing speech**
I have faced such heartbreak before and this is the song that I wrote in that moment. Ladies and gentlemen…eyes shut”
She performed the song sitting on her stool with her eyes closed and as she sang, a male dancer came up behind her and did some mariachi interpretative kind of dance which involved him blindfolding Kills, giving her a rose, and then snatching the rose away from her at the end of the entire performance. With visual effects, the blind fold shows the word “BETRAYED” on it in red as the song comes to a close as well.
WAR, LIES, LOVE, MONEY performance:
Natalia performed the lead single from her 2013 release, “Ko-Motion” with heavy drums, a lot of video content and a lot of interpretative dancing. The performance was filled with lots of pump fisting, heavy synths and Natalia playing a drum on stage. The performance was very powerful.
Coven de Couture Performance:
The Coven performance starts off with a video on screen showing Natalia sitting down in what looks like a witch like coven setting just very high end fashion-y. She talks to the people in the coven about some random things and then the video ends with her lifting her head, looking straight at the camera and saying “We’re looking for recruits!”
Immediately she says this, Natalia literally APPEARS on stage. She’s wearing a dominitrix kinda outfit and she’s holding a whip and a chain in one hand, her mic in the other. She then begins to sing the song and as she does, she struts down the now runway stage at a very elegant and sheek pace. In the pathway of the long catwalk are 5 magic boxes, sort of like photo booths. Natalia sings the song and with every fluid entry and exit of each booth, she’s wearing something different. She sports a school girl outfit, a plain white T, a long Givenchy black and gold gown, lingerie and a witch outfit.
She later magically appears in the middle of the stadium later on in the song and finishes the song there before disappearing in a mist of smoke.

Charli XCX performs on Wetten Dass
308 Words
Charli XCX is currently touring and has already performs in the UK at the Wembley Stadium twice and at Paris' Stade de France once. Charli just flew all the way from France to Germany, where she is doing the next dates of her tour and where she appeared on the popular German TV show Wetten Dass on which she answered questions during an interview and performed her brand new single 'Sucker', the appearance is part of the promotion for Charli XCX's brand new album 'SUCKER" the follow up to Charli XCX's 2013 album 'True Romance'.
After signing a few autographs and doing a meet and greet session prior to the show, Charli wore a two part leather outfit made of a black crop top and a very small black skirt to the show. She also was wearing large boots created by Miu Miu. She started the interview by joking around with the host a little bit before starting to talk about her single 'Sucker' and her brand new album 'SUCKER'. She also praised her fans for being very supportive.
Charli XCX then got up to perform 'Sucker' which has shown an impressive amount of success in Germany so far, wearing a black catsuit and a white leather jacket and white leather boots. The performance was very lights oriented as red, purple, blue and yellow lights were going wild during the whole song while Charli performed the song and impressed the crowd without any dancers needed. There was some colorful cubes all around the stage which shot many lights and which Charli turned around playfully and danced on them including them within the choreography. Charli ended her performance standing up right in front the whole crowd which gave her a standing ovation. Charli XCX's single 'Sucker' is now available and is featured on the album of the same name.

The Talk welcomed Justin Bieber as their special guest this morning, and had a pleasant interview with the Pop Artist. They discussed his new album 'The Collection & More', along with things such as the newly released 'Too Good to Lose'. They started out refreshing on his previously done TRL Special, that became a ratings hit for MTV & solidified his place in music. 'The special to me, I watched with my daughter -- it was nice to see you did all that, I didn't realize. The performance and the music videos themselves were pretty amazing too' one of the hosts said. Another asked Bieber about the special, to where Justin replied, 'It was on my videos in my career. As we know, MTV is a Music Video network and such -- and they'd thought it'd be great to honor me on TRL, a show which use to show the top music videos of the time it was on air, with a TRL Special. I also got to perform, and premiere my newest music video'. Justin's new music video to 'Memphis' was released last week and has amassed over 50M views already, and has got many fans built up for the continuation, which hasn't been confirmed if will be in
'Too Good to Lose' or the next single. 'So, this video I've heard about, why is it talked about so much?', 'Well, I'd think it's one of my best. Besides the huge special supporting it, the plot and everything was very well thought out. It also cost a lot to make, and I really showed off my acting skills. Plus, I shot someone' he said as the audience laughed. Justin then talked about his new album, 'The Collection & More' and the 6 brand new songs + the hits. Justin was asked, 'So recently Mariah Carey announced a Vegas residency of her #1's -- I know this is decades down the line, but do you see yourself doing something like that? With the amount of hits you'll have by then it'll just be crazy'. Justin replied, 'Well yeah, anything like that would be decades from now. Who knows, I can't predict or say where my life plus career will be then though, haha'. Justin then performed the new single, 'Too Good to Lose'. Sitting on a black stool with a white and red light shining down on his outfit, Justin plucked the strings of his guitar starting the first verse. Justin's performance was moreso calm and normal, and nothing out of the box or amazing happened -- expected for a performance on The Talk. The performance had nice vocals, and that was basically it though. Overall, Justin's appearance on The Talk was successful and more promotion for his new era + new music video, in which had been trending on Twitter all morning. One of the hosts took to Twitter after to write, 'Interviewed Justin Bieber today. Nice man who can actually sing his ass off'.

In addition to releasing the duet with Taylor Swift as an official single -- the Remix EP was also uploaded to digital retailers this week. The remixes are Pop-remixes, from Pop-producers, and is a Part 1. A said Part 2 will apparently be released next week, an R&B EP with some re-done vocals and R&B-producer remixes. Justin Bieber's label Hyped Records announced the new Remix EP on Twitter this morning, stating 'Can't get enough of Taylor & Justin's new single? The Remix EP is too good to miss. iTunes.com/TGTLRemixes1'. The remix EP is only priced at $4.99, with the first 5 tracks being $1.29 and the remaining acoustic and instrumental being $0.99. Justin uploaded the Zedd Remix to his SoundCloud this morning, as the remix has been praised among all of the new remixes most -- for turning the song into an infectious upbeat Dance-Pop single. Zedd commented on the release saying, 'both of them are two of my favorite artists, and they represent good music -- when I got the call from their labels to remix the single, I did it with pleasure. The remix is one of my personal favorites, and I think I did a killer job at transforming the song from a ballad to an upbeat. Cheers to working with Mr. Bieber & Ms. Swift in the future hopefully' to Yahoo!.Check it out if you haven't, The Remix EP is available on streaming services that only offer premium users such as Beats Music but as far as Spotify, Hyped Records has not yet made the decision to upload it to Spotify (though this time it's probably Taylor's label that actually decided not to upload the Remix EP, haha). The new Remix EP is Justin's second remix EP this era, following the 'Memphis (Remixes)'. Justin's new album, 'The Collection & More' containing the original 'Too Good to Lose' along with 29 other tracks is also available on iTunes, Amazon, and physical retailers. Taylor's new compilation album, 'Yours' featuring the single and her past hits, along with more hits is also out in stores too. Justin commented on Instagram saying the new Remix EP was also out, and that the fans should pick it up if they've liked any of the remixes. In addition, Taylor also went to Tumblr to post about it and picked up thousands of notes -- hopefully they transformed into purchases. Taylor & Justin's new single is also said to have the music video (part 1 of it) premiere today on VEVO, fans should keep a lookout for it while refreshing on YouTube and listening to the new 5 remixes.

Charli XCX on Ellen
314 Words
Charli is currently touring in Europe but prior to her flight to the UK (and then France and Germany) where she performed at stadiums, Charli appeared on the Ellen show, but the appearance was only aired today. Charli performed her latest single 'Sucker' and sat down for an interview as part of the promotional week fo the single and the album 'SUCKER' both which were released this week.
Charli sat down wearing a black dress sequins covered dress with a pair of black Christian Louboutin pumps and fishnets. During the interview she commented about her current state of mind about music: "I'm so happy I finally released this album because I've been working on it ever since June 2013. I'd love to see the music industry release more music which would have a more 90s or punk feeling which is what I tried to do with 'SUCKER'." She also talked about the amazing critical acclaim the album received as it was included within many top 10s during the year end lists of 2014 (critics listened to the album in 2014 and so count it as part of 2014): "I nearly fell down on the floor when I saw the amount of positive reviews the album is getting. I'm happy I managed to achieve such an impressive achievement." she said.
Charli then got up, and after the commercial break, she appeared on an outdoor stage for a performance of the single 'Sucker', wearing colorful Mulberry dress with another pair of CHristian Louboutin colorful heels. While she danced around in those heels, she took them off towards the end to jump into the crowd and crowd surf. After she was brought back on stage, Charli thanked the fans, signed a few autographs during meets and greets and left the show's studio.
'Sucker' is Charli XCX's new single and is featured on the brand new album 'SUCKER'.
