So much so that the NFL reportedly asked Perry and other finalists to pay for the privilege of performing Feb. 1 at the University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, Arizona.

How is it not shady? Granted she could've just misread it while she was drunk but Perez was definitely being shady.
Perez wasn't being shady. He was expressing a straightforward opinion which she agreed with. That's like me saying Gaga is a better live vocalist than Katy and then calling me a fake stan.
For real tho all of you saying she's over etc are real drama queens. Literally every popstar has a few underperforming singles per album, TD was a massive exception and now you expect all of her albums to perform like that which is never gonna happen!
Also no one cares about the Taylor feud outside of ATRL.

He was definitely being shady, he was saying the performance was typical Beyonce in that it was 'too perfect' and felt inauthentic, and he said he preferred JT's. I can't see how that could be interpreted as a compliment or a good thing
I think she probably misinterpreted the tweet and thought it was praise but still, Perez definitely wasn't complimenting her.
