Those other two were always the basic and local ones of the trinity.
Interscope should just give Gaga's budget (or what's left of it) to Nelly instead, she deserves a comeback
Lol Nelly's last album was tragic. Her vocals on her last album were even more atrocious than Gaga's shouting. I don't think I've heard a voice that nasal since... well, ever. Her time is up, unfortunately. For some reason, all of the Interscope gurls turn out to be one era wonders. See: Gaga, Lana, Nelly Furtado, Gwen Stefani, Fergie... I mean, like... what's goin' on?
Mariah is a bigger female act than both Madonna and Taylor Swift in the U.S. Britney's even bigger than Taylor in the U.S. (40.65M albums, 43.2M singles = 4.32M albums, streams N/A for Britney whereas Taylor has 26M albums, 80M singles = 8M albums, streams N/A). Britney also easily outdid DC and the BSB.
Adele, with two albums, is about half as big in the U.S. as Taylor is. Taylor hasn't faced nearly as big competition as Britney has and the minute someone shows up on that level, they easily trounce Taylor. Not only are there fewer popular acts but there are fewer artists/musicians releasing than ever. 2014's biggest new releases were Taylor, Ariana (who had only ever gone gold prior), Nicki (a rap female artist LOL) and Coldplay (a 20 year old band). It's not hard to see why Taylor held such higher market share (granted she was still blocked by a 2013 release).
How is Madonna bigger than Britney in the U.S. when every release since Britney's debut has outdone its competing Madonna release? Madonna has a bigger overall career but she is not bigger than Britney in the U.S. now.

Britney has already proved that her bond will last a long time seeing as her fans continue to support her early work and later works (see: Scream & Shout, a terrible 2012 single, outselling every Taylor Swift single). Meanwhile Taylor has yet to prove that her fans will still follow her even after something as dire as what Britney went through from 2006-2008.

Taylor isn't close to the Madonna of the 21st Century, and she isn't the biggest popstar since her either. Music & Pop Culture are different now. Taylor can sell albums much like Michael Buble but there's more to being dominant than selling music in a form that doesn't define the new generation. Taylor has never topped Forbes (a good job done on measuring dominance I say), and it is for good reason. After her best selling albums in the US, she did not peak anyone's interest until the VMA incident. Many people didn't know who she was. If someone, anyone not just popstar is so extraordinary dominant it infatuates the general public. They want to know of the phenomenon, learn of it. Just look at Lady Gaga back in 2009-2010. People were so infatuated by her they wanted to know if she sleeps in her "costumes". Just look at president Obama, so phenomenal by being the first black president that her became a massive celebrity figure almost like a media personality to even the youth who don't have much interest to politics. So interested in what made them phenomenal and the same applies to Britney to the point they were overly obsessed with her life with no personal scandal then. People only know about Taylor's relationship because SHE had to keep talking about it. Gaga and Britney topped Forbes beating out politicians, sportsman, actors, fellow singers because the power they had was very much real. They became everyday trivia and actually infiltrated everyday lives and became references everywhere for people to catch. I cannot think of one show where Britney has not been referenced pre-breakdown. Friends, Fraiser, Will & Grace, Sex in the City and even movies and even songs. Many people here have a wrong idea of pop music. Not everyone listens to it. It's actually a niche (using this loosely) in a world where there are nerdy paleontologists with no knowledge of Top 40 music to elders with no interest in music they call noise or little kids whose only entertainment are gaming and nothing else. It's not the world. Truly dominating means infiltrating real life, and that's something Taylor has not had unlike Madonna and Beyonce (the true dominant force as of today).
I'm sorry but dominating pop music in every form is not dominating like Madonna or Whitney or Eminem. Taylor has also not dominated the pop music scene like you proclaim boldly. She has only had 3 #1s in a generation where the Hot 100 is very defining. It takes into account streaming, which alone is important to be dominant. Taylor is really far behind her peers, even Britney has had more #1s with the current generation. Her streaming numbers are nothing impressive except her new era. Katy and Bieber/Gaga in their peak have streaming numbers that will make your jaw drop. Taylor's 2nd 300 million vevo video was during this era. Vevo is very important in this day and age, probably the most important and most open to the GP. TRL/MTV defined the old and was also open to the GP, Britney dominated and has the most retired videos of any act. I'm going to stop here and not talk about other things like taylor's touring numbers being as impressive as other girls from her generation unlike Britney's in the early 00s where they were always higher (even on decline) because if you have only been a force on the biggest music source (Youtube) of the biggest 21st phenomenon (the Internet) then that alone prevents you from being dominant. Artists may have more visibility now than they did back the due to social media, but social media has also fast paced the music scene that most things are forgotten and overshadowed through compulsive consumption and this wasn't a problem in the 80s and 90s where the biggest peaks in music lie. Coincidence? Of course not.

LMFAO, no. Taylor is huge at the moment, but let's be real with ourselves, aside from her insane success, what is she really bringing to the industry?

no one cares about Taylor outside her music at all..
And her pop catalog sales are so bad, far worse than Britney and Taylor is recent.
Ugh, I hate online classes. Not sure why I took one this semester. Yuck.
@Lord Blackout Everyone used to hate Angelina too and now she's the Queen of the industry. Hopefully everyone else will eventually realize Anne's the Princess of Cinema. But I'm glad you can at least tolerate her.
I'm taking two. At least it's better than going to college. This way, I'll only go there tuesday and thursday.
And I like her. I liked her mostly in that princess movie. It's kind of a classic.
Other than the insane amount of writing they are great imo.
I mean, I got an A in my online accounting class like last year but I totally copied and pasted all the questions into the Google search bar. Like, I totally didn't learn anything. What happens if I have to do it on my own at a future job and I turn out to be completely useless like Gaga after her old team left her? Like, I mean.
The Spirit Destructable was a mess but everything before that was flawless
Like, her Greatest Hits is way better than Xtina's/PInk's/Britney's and the other g0rls from that generation
Hopefully she'll go back to Timbaland
Why? She went to Rodney Jerkins (whose latest work is better than Timbaland's) for TSI and flopped. She just needs to ditch the attempt at whatever she was trying to do with TSI and serve a simple Pop song:
Produced by Darkchild. It's an HATLM re-hash but you get the idea. Pop songs w/ hooks. And no nasally vocals like in Big Hoops. And perhaps a budget for the video for her lead.

And you call Gaga out of touch
Puhlease, every level headed person outside of social media (increasingly delusional and liberal) sees right through both Angelina and Anne.

I did the same thing but the tests and finals were timed minimum 3 page essays so I still had to the do readings in the end.
