I've asked the girl who posted the pic of Rih on the set of the Paris photoshoot if it was for a magazine or for the album or something else. She answered this:

Rihanna is a friend of my grandfather (Paolo roversi) who was taking pics of her for something (she doesn't know for what). And with my friend (who is on the pic) we thought that Rihanna was so kind so we attended the shoot.

EDIT: The shoot lasted all day. The R8 Experience was basically a "break" lol.
