What? MK1-4 had pretty much the same control scheme.

MKDA-Armageddon had the same style setup (well A had only 2 styles but still).


And now MKX seems to be adding onto MK9's established gameplay (with a few fixes here and there).

Sure the developers aren't as consistent as SF, Tekken or SC, but it's not like they haven't been improving the gameplay.

That's because everyone in MK1-4 with the exception of the bosses had the SAME normals.

And you don't get what i'm saying. In Tekken, SF or SC, the characters keep almost all of their "normals" every entry (only a few are changed) so every time the player jumps on the new game, there's a sense of "familiarity" with the character. In Mortal Kombat, they change the normal moves every game (with the exception of MKDA-MKA since they just slapped the previously done characters n a new game). In addition to this and the ever changing facial features, the command to the special moves are also inconsistent as hell.

I'm actually a HUGE fan of Kitana and I should be offended by this, but I actually wouldn't mind if she stayed dead this time around...if and only if...either Ashrah or Sareena (preferably both but I wouldn't mind one) make it in MKX.

It gives me hope cuz the Brotherhood of Shadow is mentioned in the article and they're both a part of it.

I'm still waiting for more 3D era character announcements and especially new characters. Why are they being so mum about the new characters? Hopefully the UK magazine shows a new character or a 3D era one, but it's probably KL.
