it's not so much a concrete rumor, but a conclusion people come to when they see how she dresses, her appearance, her relationship with chris (nonsensical but it's true)
rih is a nightmare for black misogynists... she pushes every "old-southern-black-misogyny-we-inherited-from-the-white-man" button in existence. the mere fact that she got abused is enough for them to talk trash about her. idk, it's really sad and i think it's super jarring for those outside of the af-am community to witness... for those of us
in the af-am community it's unfortunately very familiar. there's a lot of victim-blaming among us as a result of centuries filled with abuse and terror. we blame things on ourselves 99% of time
