Sis what, the UK press called her Material Girl for years. 'Madonna releases Material Girl' is also on the music history wall outside the O2

Madonna is the biggest star in the world, period, my 90 year old grandma and my 5 year old cousin, know who she is.

Do sales in the thousands in countries that hardly used iTunes actually mean anything?

A Kylie Minogue knockoff. Always chasing what was trendy and successful during the previous 2 years.

Really? I've known that since I was six or seven, along with Material Girl.

If you had to remind people that Britney exists (most forgot), many would remember her as the talentless popstar who lip-synchs. Just say "lip-synch" and her owns fans will retract their claws like a knee-jerk reaction. They know that's what she stands for.
Recently it's been revealed that she doesn't sing her own songs in the studio either, but she's too forgotten for people to make a big deal of it.

Precisely, I asked my 76 year old grandma about Madonna and she started talking about the cone bra and how she thinks she should have covered up, but if I asked her about Janet or Mariah she'd be like 'who?'. Everyone I know knows Holiday, LAV, Papa Don't Preach, LAP, Vogue, Music, Hung Up, Sorry, 4 Minutes. Even songs like Don't Tell Me, Lucky Star, Borderline, OYH, La Isla Bonita and Frozen seem to be quite well remembered among people I know.

This is always such a kii considering the 90s were Madonna's 'flop' decade

NO. This isn't conjecture - it's a fact that she has the critical thinking skills of a fetus.

iTunes stats mean nothing. Whitney has I Will Always Love You, Madge has nothing in terms of real classics all generations know of. This is a common fact for everyone who is not delusional & gay, no offense.

We all know Godga is over... Why does this continue to be news in SYG?
