Wow. ATRL loves AKA more than Britney Jean? ATRL never fails to surprise me.
First of all, I don't get the big Britney Jean hate. Yes, Passenger wasn't sung by Britney in it's entirety but that's just a small part of the song. Second, they seem to be misguided by the album. Really? Alien and Tik Tik Boom as the songs that stands out for ATRL? I really can't understand why they pick those songs when we have Til It's Gone, Brightest Morning Star and Hold On Tight on that album. Three outstanding tracks.
Britney co-wrote every song on the album, while she didn't care enough to promote it, I believe the album truly holds something in her heart. Brightest Morning Star is unbelievably amazing. Yes, I think it's one of her best songs ever. When people aren't bashing Britney for the subpar lyrical content, they bash her songs' production. She never could win, really.
Perfume, while I didn't like the original song, the stripped down versions are just so good. Yes, Britney Jean may not be up there with Blackout or In The Zone or Circus or maybe to some of you Femme Fatale.. It's probably the most disappointing Britney album of the past 14 years for most of you but I still think the album had it's fair share of great Britney tracks. I also believe that she made the album for the fans because we got our ballads.
Y'all just trashing Britney Jean because of will.i.am which I think is absolutely absurd because there is so much more to production on a song. Production's not that bad too. What I know is she delivered a personal album and all of you are just trying to dismiss this because will.i.am is on the credits.
Brightest Morning Star, Hold On Tight, Til It's Gone, Passenger, Perfume, Alien, Don't Cry and Now That I Found You to me are really really personal. A lot of you just can't see through the facade will.i.am built for himself.
The only problem of the album is the way the songs were arranged. That's it. Some of you are just hating on will.i.am or hating because it didn't perform the same as her other previous albums which were all really commercially successful. BYE!

Idk anything about AKA, or the rest of the fan base, but BJ is the first Britney album where I didn't instantly connect with any (aside from Work Bitch, Perfume, and BMS) of the songs.
It isn't will.i.am (I rather enjoyed BFB and SS). The album is just rather mediocre.
She went from producing A-grade quality music, to C-grade... simply put.
Imo.
P.S I will concede the lyrics are some of her best. But I really can't get around the second-rate production. Not when she provided 7 top-notch albums beforehand.
