When I first listened to Reflektor (the song), I wasn't that into it and didn't bother to check the album out. But then I heard this song, and I was completely sold. It's one of those indie rock songs that you can really dance to. It's just so groovy. But the song carries a much somber message about life after death. Even then, this upbeat song is very appropriate. The song gives off that bittersweet moment that would sorta put a tear in my eye. And I can never get sick of this song tbh.

This song has always been a highlight on their self titled debut. This is a slow ballad and I really love the whole vibe of the song. The sparse guitars sounding off, his low broody voice, it's just an indescribable mood. The best part is in the bridge, where things tense up a little, then after a brief moment of calamity, Matty screams out that everybody's dead. It's chill inducing and you can totally hear his emotions flowing out of his voice. Just an amazingly stunning track.

I was so hyped when I found out Ariana was working with Iggy, I was just so ready for the bop she was about to serve. This was perhaps my most anticipated non-Taylor song of the year and when it came out I was slayed. Ariana's vocals are perfect yeah, but the best thing is that chorus. Big Sean creepy whispers, and that deep bass, but the best of all, those trumpets! It makes the song so irresistible. And then there's Iggy's verse which is tight and not too short, which really added something to the song for me. This is one of the freshest pop songs of 2014 tbh.

They adopted a funkier sound and a church choir to create the most flavourful song ever. The only reason this isn't #1 is cuz I don't want Paramore to top twice in a row.

And it's time for the #1 song of 2014!

That choir in Ain't It Fun really takes me to church tbh.

I was hoping for once I wouldn't have a mainstream #1 but no it decides to smash in the last few months!!! Okay I kid, since this song was released in late 2013 and I only listened to it in July. I first saw it on the alternative charts and I was so sure that Hozier was a Christian band and the song was some ode about God and all those stuff. But hell no I was so wrong. When I listened to this song, and watched the video, my jaw dropped. I was just so shocked at that video I was speechless. Okay but yeah this song is ****ing flawless, so much so I don't know how to express it. The whole dark mood, that chorus, Hozier's lovely vocals. Ugh just ugh, this song just literally takes me to church.

YAAAAAAAAAAY I'm done with my top 150 singles of 2014!
