In the grand scheme of things, it DOES effect us as a black community on a daily basis. If you don't see how white people take what we do, do it average at best & surpass us due to their skin color is an issue, then you're just as sad & delusional as she is.
Ok? Don't use that as an excuse and cripple yourself. At the end of the day things come to those who work hard. Iggy worked hard for years to get where she is...
Actually I think focusing too much on Iggy is damaging for the black cause, instead shouldn't she be boycotted and attention be paid to talented black rappers? All this Iggy thing is doing is creating division, the evil white versus everyone else , like
For the sake of pleasing everyone she should acknowledge her privilege though
if your evidence for Iggy being a racist are those tacky tweets, they were just careless comments that anyone could've made.....she's dating a black basketball player....
What does that have to do with anything? How does that excuse ANYTHING?
Most people I know who don't like her it's because they think she lacks talent, not because she's racist. Talent should always be a factor in liking a artist or not.
What people think is "talent" is subjective and not fact.

That's my reason. I just think she doesn't deserve to even be called a rapper.
I don't see most black rappers acknowledging **** that happens in the urban community. Why is it required for her?
Well, all of the rappers I stan for--who also happen to be artistically excellent--have acknowledged the issues at hand, or they've been victims of it themselves.
It's not required at all. Don't get me wrong.
However, she also cannot play victim and act as if all she can do is make pop songs with a couple rap verses and then breeze through the industry resting on her mediocrity, then act like any criticism she receives is unwarranted.
She's not immune from being called to the carpet for being problematic.

Her "let's focus on news relating to me" after AB (rightfully or not) called her out is sickening.

What does she have to excuse herself for? I am just saying if she were racist she wouldn't be who she is. She might not understand how race works in the US but she's been living there for how long?
Some of you guys do to much on her. Just let the girl do her thing. No one had a problem with her before she became successful, but now everyone is making a fuss over her. On the one hand, some of you are saying that she is appropriating black culture, but then on the other hand are equating her to Pitbull and saying that she isn't even really a rapper but just a fast talker.
First off, people did have a problem with her slave master ass before her so called fame.
Second off, the point is that white people obtain success due to their skin color & surpass blacks with ease. So why wouldn't majority of the black community become upset over her gaining success & fame due to her color & not her talent?
