Azealia on MTV Unplugged

While continuing promotion for the upcoming album The Dying Stars as well as the promotion for upcoming single Metamorph, Azealia Banks performed on MTV Unplugged today where she performed tons of her old hits as well as some of her newer hits and some songs were premiered off of her new album, such as Comet 81P, Space Oddity, and Fly featuring Childish Gambino. The thirty minute long special on MTV was heavily promoted throughout the past few weeks where Azealia's public relations team got billboards covering Times Square to advertise Azealia's very own MTV Unplugged special. When asked about how happy she is to be getting her very own unplugged, Azealia said the following "I'm thrilled. I feel like I've truly risen up through all the terrible things in my. I'm really out there proving to the world what I can do and how great I can be and that is more important to me than anything. Thank you to everyone who got this to happen. I love MTV, my fans, and myself. Loving yourself is the most important thing in life and I will never not thank myself. I can't wait to see the unplugged episode air."

Azealia's unplugged episode opened up with a quote of Azealia saying this as she was seen entering the building "An artist isn't defined by how good someone is at their craft, an artist is defined as one who enjoys and continues to pursue advancement in what they do." Azealia is then seen on stage. She is wearing a wrestler's robe, designed by Target. The entire special was sponsored by Target, thanks to Azealia's deal with the mega company. Azealia wore the all red silk robe as she walked on stage, with black under garments underneath. She slipped off the robe and the crowd went wild. She then picked up the microphone and began to sing the opening song, Metamorph. In the middle of the performance of Metamorph, Janet Jackson came on stage to perform the remixed version with Azealia. During the performance of Metamorph, Janet had on a similar outfit to Azealia's. Except her robe was black and her undergarments were red. There were no dancers on stage to accompany Azealia throughout the performances, only the band in the background as well as the special guests that joined Azealia. The performance of Metamorph drew the most praise and attention, many calling it true artpop and claiming it to be better than anything else Azealia has done thus far. One particular song that also garnered a great bit of hype was Fly featuring Childish Gambino. The performance had Childish Gambino come on stage and rap the bridge as Azealia sang the verses and chorus. Azealia hinted at the audience that this may or may not be the next single off of the album. Comet 81P drew everyone's attention as a song inspired heavily by Donna Summer's I Feel Love. Overall, the MTV unplugged special was a great thing for Azealia. Continued to get her name out there while also helping Metamorph significantly on iTunes. Azealia Promotes Metamorph on HSN

To continue the wild promotional runs of Azealia Banks, she teamed up with the Home Shopping Network today to perform Metamorph as well as be interviewed about the making of the upcoming remix video and the already premiered music video for the original Metamorph. The appearance on HSN drew millions of viewers and throughout the 6 hour stay, Azealia sold over one hundred thousand physical copies of the Metamorph remixes EP part 2. Azealia told all her fans and followers on social media to be sure to watch HSN for Azealia's appearance on the channel where she went to sell her goods.

Azealia performed Metamorph at the top of the six hour selling period. She wore a tan caftan designed by Prada from their current spring/summer 2015 line. Azealia had her hair down and large Prada sunglasses on during the performance. On the small stage Azealia moved her arms and body to the beat, removing her sunglasses so that she could get a good look at the audience and be able to make eye contact with each and every camera out in front of her face. When she picked up the microphone to sing Azealia threw the sunglasses on the ground and spun around rapidly as she sang the first verse. When the chorus came, Azealia began doing laps around the stage and took off her heels so she could roll around and sing the chorus of the song. Entertainment Weekly referred to the performance as "A hot mess on steroids" The performance definitely drew everyone's attention however and has been uploaded on YouTube where it has since gotten attention from fans and haters alike.

After a break and a look from the confused sellers, the show was back and Azealia was in the chair ready to talk about the EP she was trying to sell. When asked about the EP and why she chose to release a second remixes EP Azealia said the following "Well I love to treat my fans forever and always with good music. I had so many other remixes of Metamorph sitting in the vault and I didn't want to hide them from the fans, you know? I felt I would've been the worst person on planet earth to deny my fans music that's ready to be released. That's just not right. It's inhumane and I had to put it all out for purchase. Plus I have big plans for this Janet Jackson remix. The music video will be killer. It was great to film with Janet and I truly think of her as an inspiration to my daily life. The video with Janet is set inside an old New York City warehouse which is where we filmed. It was built in the 1800s and got burned in the 60s and has been abandoned since. We felt that would be a great place to film the music video. There's no real big story line, it's just a fun music video for anyone to enjoy" After continuing the interview for 6 hours, it was revealed Metamorph sold one hundred thousand copies within that time, breaking an all time record for HSN. Taylor Swift’s been one of the leading forces in pop music the past decade, selling over thirty million albums and over seventy six million song downloads in this short amount of time. With over nine number one singles to her name and fourteen top threes including those nine, there seems to be nothing the singer songwriter can’t do if she puts her mind to it. Already, Taylor Swift has managed to launch a successful film career, scoring major roles in films such as the ‘Vali: Fall of the Gods’, ‘Prison Break’, and perhaps the biggest film role she’s managed to land as of late, ‘Kin’, a film about two German sisters in the midst of the Holocaust. The film is slated for an early 2016 release as filming has been going on since the late winter months of December, 2013. “Um, ‘Kin’ is a film that I had to really audition for. The casting people were really nervous about giving me such a big role in such a big film. I’ve never prior played a leading role in a film so they really took a chance in giving me the role of Eden. Paige also played my sister in the film and I feel like she definitely brought out the dramatics and actress that was lying underneath my skin. When you work with talented people, it’s likely they bring out the talent in you as well. I’ve learned that not only through my film career but through music as well. When working with talented people in music, you produce some of your best stuff. That’s why my songs with people like Justin, Zendaya, and even Eric turn out so well. All the songs and films I’ve been in so far, I’m proud of. I’ve learned from them and I’m really using them as guidelines to get better with each film or song I make. That’s what it’s all about. The singer-songwriter seems to be focusing mainly on her music career as Taylor’s been doing nothing for the peat two weeks but promoting her first ever greatest hits album ‘Yours: The Greatest Hits’ which includes all of Taylor’s nine number one singles and the others which have a lll managed to peak in the top three of the singles charts over the past few years. The promotional campaign so far for ‘Yours: The Greatest Hits’ has included enough promotion for the lead singe ‘Style’ to debut at the top spot of the singles charts lsat week. This week the singer songwriter has flown out of the United States to Europe where she’ll visit England for some television performances and interviews before heading to Japan for a performance there before returning to the United States once again for some final promotion.

The singer-songwriter was in London today where she filmed an exclusive live session for iHeartRadio. She’d perform some of her oldest hits, including some of the new songs off her greatest hits album as well. These songs included ‘Harvard Smiles’ and ‘Lipstick on His Collar’, both of which serve as promotional singles from the album. Some other non promotional singles performed were ‘Nylon’, ‘Seven Wonders’ and the fan favorite ‘Hold On’ a Tom Waits cover. Taylor would perform some of her hits too, songs like ‘Swarovski’, ‘Style’, ‘Loving the Wrong Way’, ‘Loverboy’, and lastly ‘Too Good To Lose’, a song rumored to be the next single. The set was one of Swift’s best vocal performances, her vocals shining mostly on ‘Style’ and ‘Seven Wonders’, both of which became the most viewed songs from the setlist.

Taylor Swift’s career has been soaring to new heights as the singer-songwriter has managed to release her first ever greatest hits album this week. The compilation album, the first Taylor Swift has have ever released has been in work only a few weeks prior to it’s release, becoming a last minute decision from not Taylor Swift’s label but Taylor Swift herself who at first was uneasy and showed extreme doubt about releasing a greatest hits album. “There are a few greatest hits albums I was a fan of growing up but eventually after awhile labels just start almost ******** these types of albums out just to scrap in a few coins or finish the contracts they have with an artist or whatever. I didn’t want to release a greatest hits album that wouldn’t be memorable or considered really an album of mine a few years down the road from now. I wanted to make a greatest hits album that could be considered basically a form of art in itself in my career. Something the fans would appreciate and love, something they’d remember and hold dear to their hearts. That’s why I decided to include the old material but with an amazing amount of mixed material. Critics say a little too much but I just genuinely didn’t want them to think I was ripping them off. I wanted them to be happy. I wanted to give them as much of new material I could without attaching a whole new album with in it. I would be damned if I just did a quick photo shoot and put new tracks on there with my hits and call it an album. That’s ******** and so unlike me. I wanted to switch it up. I wanted really help redefine the definition of a greatest hits album. Luckily, Justin felt the same way about it I did and did the same with his album. He’s one of the reasons why I haven’t lost faith in the music industry.”

The music industry has been blossoming and rising to new heights because of the likes of Taylor Swift and Justin Bieber, both of which are the leading forces in music as of late. With both of their albums officially out and available for purchase, monster sales should be coming in, Swift coming off the high of a lead single that went number one and Justin off his greatest hits album which went number one last week with sales of over five hundred thousand copies, an all time high for the male pop singer-songwriter.

Taylor Swift would continue her promotion by signing an exclusive deal with ClearChannel media, one that would support her album in a big way. At eight in the morning, at noon, and at six in the day, Taylor Swift’s greatest hits album partially in full would be played. All nine of Taylor’s number ones would be played along with all of the new songs from the album. This deal would last a total of six days and reportedly caused Taylor’s label a hefty amount of money. But it seems to be working as we hear from people at Neilsen that the album sales have suddenly surged from reports released by Target. We’re told that the songs played on stations such as KIIS-FM and Z100 have resulted in over a million audience impressions of each track and has made history to be one of the biggest radio deals of all time. As Taylor Swift dominates radio it seems to be no surprise that she may end up dominating album sales looking in on this week’s album chart.

This morning Cara Delevingne appeared on the big morning show, the Today Show which brings in a big amount of viewers, to promote her latest album 'Distant Horizon' which seems to be a big hit already as the album has been on top of the ITunes charts ever since the release a few days ago. "I'm so happy about how the fans are reacting to this album, it feels like everyone's buying it!" said Cara while she was talking to the paparazzi and the fans following her when she arrived to the show wearing a Burberry trench coat. For both the performance and the interview, Cara was wearing a beautiful red leotard with a black jacket over it, she had red heels on and her hair was up in a ponytail.
She first performed 'Kiss To My Heart', one of the two promotional singles released to promote the album. The performance started in front of a microphone stand at which Cara sang her heart out with three back up vocalists. Cara took the microphone off the stand and started advancing on the stage and touching the fans' hands which were trying to catch her as she advanced on the white stage.
After the first performance, the host came on stage and started asking some questions, were about subjects such as the album release, the song 'Kiss To My Heart', the work she did with Charli XCX and more. Cara then performed the second song 'Honey'. 'Honey' is the second promotional single and was released a few days ago, and also received a lyric video for it. The performance started at the end of the runway of the stage, Cara being on her knees in front of the crowd and the fans. She started singing the slow RNB song slowly while the fans were screaming Cara's name. 3 female dancers were on stage wearing a black leotard and large boots as well, and Cara and the three dancers danced a synchronized choreography which featured dance moves on the ground, imitating a thirst or drought as if they were being in need of something.
The host came back on stage while the song ended to continue the interview. before starting the third and final performance, Cara jumped on the audience to crowd surf, which caused a huge amount of people to push towards the stage trying to catch or touch Cara. The 'La Belle' beat started, and Cara started singing and rapping the lyrics when the introduction ended. The security guards got Cara back on stage and she started advancing on it towards the back on the stage where 5 dancers were posing in a army like way, when Cara reached them, they alll made the same movement turning around 90 degrees and facing Cara who walked in between them. The dancers held her up in the air while the performance ended.
"This was Cara Delevingne ladies and gentlemen! Her album 'Distant Horizon' is now available worldwide and everyone in the audience can even buy it at the interactive billboards placed all around the city, including the one facing the stage, get your copies now!" said the host, before Cara thanked the fans and left.

Cara Delevingne has made performance pretty much everywhere over the past few days making her inescapable mostly due to her label who has been booking all those shows just for Cara throughout the past few weeks, making her one of the most hyped artists of the year if not the most hyped. So it was no surprise when a The Voice performance for Cara was announced at the beginning of the week, booking yet another major show, after X Factor, X Factor UK last week and American Idol in the following days. "She's unstoppable!" said an ecstatic fan when we asked about impressive amount of promotion "She's truly here for everyone knowing about it and buying the album, after all this work, she deserves the recognition! she's getting!" he added. Actually sat down as a judge wearing a red sleeveless shirt along with a short black dress and black high heels, in addition as being the performer of the night. She was helping the show by replacing a missing judge and she gave the contestants some career and singing advice, and the moment one of the contestants was out of the game and was in tears, Cara proposed to bring the contestants to her own record label to propose him a contract.
Finally the moment everyone was waiting for arrived and Cara was going to perform. A video showing Cara's achievements such as sales, tour receipts, awards and accolades were shown on the screen while 'Honey' and 'Kiss To My Heart' played in the background. Once the video ended the host presented Cara: "Welcome to The Voice stage for the very first time, the one and only Cara Delevingne, singing her hit song 'La Belle'!"
Cara walked out of the entrance going down the stage's steps quite fast doing a few dance moves while dancers were going down form the top of the venue held by barely visible chords. doing a few impressive moves in the air while going down, the dancers finally touched down while Cara was advancing on the stage towards the gigantic hand sculpture which was on the stage while rapping the lyrics. The dancers started going all around the crowd before going back to the center of the stage, all of them making a synchronized choreography, in a early 2000s Birtney Spears like manner. Cara went up on the stair between the crowd still rapping the lyrics until a break down started during which Cara was on her the voice judge seat, continuously turning it around while the dancers were around her and between the judges. Cara ended her performance in the middle of the stage while everyone in the crowd and along with them the judges clapping and cheering for Cara. The performance brought in the highest ratings this whole season had.
Cara Delevingne's album 'Distant Horizon' is now available worldwide, digitally on digital retailers such as ITunes and Amazon MP3 (and others) and physically at all retailers selling music, including in at Target who are selling a Target exclusive edition, and the album features the single 'La Belle' which is now available digitally and physically. Rumors also say Cara Delevingne will also release various other editions of the album such as a Vinyl and a box set and is set to be heavily promoted by Urban Outfitters which will lead to gifting.

Just like Taylor Swift or Lorde before her, Cara Delevingne appeared on the David Letterman for not only an interview and a short performance, but for a full length concert in front of a small audience, but which is watched by millions on TV. The episode attracted over 4 million viewers, a record in the amount of viewers for the show surpassing many viewers amounts of numerous episodes.
"She is one of the biggest entertainers in the world now, her album 'Distant Horizon', her single is on top of the charts, please welcome to the show Miss Cara Delevingne!" said David Letterman as Cara walked in wearing an elegant black Chanel dress with a trail along with a large white feather top, from a 2013 Haute Couture Chanel show. After the screams and cheers calmed down after a good whole minute of clapping, and Cara sat down, the interview started:
David Letterman: I'm so excited you're back on the show! The last time I saw you was back in 2013!
Cara: Yeah, I'm excited too, you should come visit me, I have an apartment here in New York now!
David Letterman: oh I will! You're performing tonight right?
Cara: Oh yeah, a whole concert!
David Letterman: You're going to be performing songs from the album 'Distant Horizon' right?
Cara: Yeah, since those are new songs I'm going to promote them more obviously, but I'm performing two older songs as well. I think it's important to remember what launched your career and the fans like those songs as well. Besides people who still haven't heard the new songs might remember me thanks to those songs.
David Letterman: You also have a tour starting up right?
Cara: It's starting soon and I plan to make it really long, I want to have as much fans as possible come and see my show. And it's not a tour made of club shows, I consider those just mini tours just to give something for the fans who want to see a private concert you know what I mean? I did a few in the past like those and I' doing more of them in the future.
David Letterman: So aside from music what are you working on?
Cara: I'm working on this perfume with coty, I can't wait to reveal it in a few weeks, it's gonna be amazing. I've always wanted to do a perfume and coty is giving me the chance to do one. The scent is nearly ready, I'm working on the bottle and them commercial's theme.
David Letterman: After the vbreak, Cara will be back with an hour long concert!
After the commercial, the hours long concert started up with a performed of 'Magazine' which was Cara's debut and only single to reach the top spot on the charts. The song brought the atention to her as the song was a big hit a few years ago and people still remember it. Cara was wearing a golden bikini with a black lace see through dress covering it, an ensemble by Alexander McQueen and Chanel. She also was wearing Vera Wang heels. After 'Magazine', the song 'Distant Horizon' followed which featured a minute long introduction during which Cara just laid down on the stage while blue and purple colored lights were covering the stage right when Cara started singing the lyrics with a husky voice.
More songs were performed including 'Excessive', 'Fall Out' (a song which features Jay-Z feature don the brand new album), and 'Excessive' another older hit by Cara. She also performed the disco inspired song 'Hot&Drunk' which was produced by Danja and Giorgio Moroder, 'Kiss To My Heart' and 'Honey' which were released as promotional singles and the song 'Too Much is Not Enough', a fan favorite. The Final song of the concert was Cara Delevingne's new smash hit 'La Belle', which also had the Mariah Carey verse from the remix played at the beginning and the Charli XCX verse played at the center of the performance before it ended with the regular version of the song featured on the album. The appearance on David Letterman by Cara managed to help well the album 'Distant Horizon' which is now available digitally (On Itunes, Amazon MP3 & more) and physically, sources say more than seventy five thousand copies were sold during ad following the performance.

One of the most successful artists of 2013 and 2014, Cara Delevingne, was nominated multiple times at the Billboard Music Awards, as she wasn't eligible during the 2014 show due to having passed the deadline when she started her music career. She appeared on the red carpet slightly fashionably late, swearing a light pink with diamonds encrusted in the corset part by Jean Paul Gaultier, she also was wearing matching light pink heels by Christian Louboutin. Cara Delevingne scored 6 nominations as she was nominated for Top New Artist, Top Artist, Top Billboard 200 Artist, Top Female artist, Top Pop Song and Top Pop Album, winning 4 out of all those nominations, winning Top New Artist, Top Female Artist and Top Artist for herself and Top Pop song for her 2013 single 'Magazine', and gave great speeches and an emotional one as she won Top Artist, making everyone in the venue cry, wearing a very short golden 'hair' dress with a whole matching cape also made out of 'hair'.

But more importantly for her, Cara Delevingne performed during the award show, being the opening act. She was given a 8 minutes time slot, so she decided she would perform multiple songs, using 2 minutes for Honey, another 2 minutes for Kiss To My Heart (Both songs are promotional singles) and 3 minutes for the hit single 'La Belle' only cutting off a single verse from the song. "It's celebration themed!" said Cara when fans asked what they should expect form it on Twitter, "It's to celebrate having you guys as fans and supporting me!" she added.

Cara started her performance by singing 'Kiss To My Heart' while she was coming out on stage wearing a party-like outfit along with bright sunglasses and dancing around playfully with her dancers. The performance had hyped up people who enjoyed a performance which wasn't as dark or mysterious or fierce as Cara usually serves. The playful theme followed with 'Honey' during which Cara sang the lyrics in a high pitched tone and sitting on a fake wooden horse that had come out on stage, before getitng back down on the stage to perform the final song: 'La Belle'. The instrumental had been lightened up and Cara sang the pop version of the song, which features Charli XCX. The remix is featured on the remixes EP of 'La Belle' released last week and remains quite similar to the original version of the song even if the instrumental was changed to a more pop one. During her verse Charli XCX came out on stage to sing the parts along with Cara which gathered attention due to it being the first time the pair sang live together on stage. The performance ended with Cara and Charli sitting down on the horse while it was being pushed away with champagne glasses on in their hands and both drinking them.
It seems like Cara's performance was easily the highest watched performance of the night and were the moment people were the most interested of the show. Cara Delevingne were later seen in the press room both wearing glamorous gowns, Cara had her hair pushed up in a glamorous 60s inspired hairstyle and Charli XCX had her hair pushed towards her right side. Cara Delevingne's album 'Distant Horizon' out now and Charli XCX's 'SUCKER' out soon on Charli XCX's new label, Variety Records.
