That's why it barely scraped 100k release week.

I don't care about all those little ones ffs. The only important one she did was Ellen.
GP doesn't check for the several little ones she did. She needs to do Ellen, Kimmel, Fallon, Letterman, etc.

Refer to this imo:
lol every artist say the same thing in every interview when they're promoting an album. it's because they're asked the same questions over & over.. they don't realize there are fans out there that listen and watch all of their interviews. you think britney is the only one to have her "6 or 7 costume changes" or "term of endearment"? trust me, she isn't.
& if you're bored, don't watch all of her interviews..

Exactly. The radio interviews are especially pointless and she did SO many of them and where did her singles peak on radio? She didn't do any before HIAM and it broke radio records on Top 40... because it was a good song and there was enough hype.
And appearances =/= interviews. She can go to Kimmel, Ellen, Fallon etc but just not give interviews. They are very awkward and people (NOT just stans) can sense the distance between Britney and the interviewer and the lack of charisma. Those are not things she needs to put out for national television.

yeah it's sad when you think about it, she did some little radio and EW interviews but not 1 late night appearance and no performances. I mean, even xfactor was promoted more

lmao so? being asked the same sort of questions doesn't mean you need to give the same answers. she could have spoke about how amazing it was to write on each song and how she cried when she wrote brightest morning star because those lyrics are so important to her. and everything that inspired her, details about the recording process other than how great will.i.am is or how any of her past issues were inspiration for the album considering its supposed to be so personal. but nope. all we got is "you'll have to wait and see" and "it's my most personal album ever". whether she was asked the same questions every time or not, she did not have to give the same answers.

if the GP doesn't check for them what is the point of this apparent "promo"?

There IS no point to those small ones. I'm talking about major ones. This entire time I've been saying she needs to do major interviews like Ellen, Jimyx2, Letterman, etc.

There's no point unless she's gonna act interested, enthusiastic and like she's actually having to think about her answers rather than just saying what she's been told to say

So should she just throw the album out there, tweet a link and be done with it? Good God.

I'm not here for interviews either They're repetitive and the interviewer is boring as well. I would be here for talk show interviews, but she's very nervous in front of the audience. Chatty Man and Ellen were nail biting. Team Britney need to focus on her strengths. She does good skits and quick appearances on late night shows like Kimmel and Fallon. It better come out of the blue because fi word got out she's going there and no interviews, stans will meltdown. Magazine covers also. She's been slaying in photoshoots, but she doesn't seem to like them so maybe a big magazine publication. Music videos is always her best bet, if she looks amazing and is energetic like Work Bitch it will pay off.

that's literally what she did with her last album. she needs to perform. interviews do nothing for her music.

So BJ would've still sold 107k first week had she done zero interviews?
