I feel like it's the same now. We know about the Iggy collab and the Moroder song, but everything is still up in the air and we don't really KNOW anything concrete about B9 or its lead. I feel like they'll just pop it out. I kinda hope that's the case.
Circus teas. Surprise lead + album a little over a year since previous one (Blackout -> Circus = 13 months, Britney Jean -> B9 = 15/16 months probably).

Radar was set up for adds and there was a rumor of her shooting in London or something like that. Blackout: the Reup wasn't a real thing, fan created stuff and it was spread like true.
But no. Circus wasn't a surprise. She was in the studio and gym 24/7 after the conservatorship, so we knew music was coming. There were pictures almost every day - being of course she just got out the looney, and papz were hoping for more mess.
Larry then basically confirmed a new album beginning of that summer. Then her OK interview she talked about recording. Then Mannequin title started circulating and we all thought shed be performing it. Then of course the rehearsal video/VMAs, and then Womanizer was officially announced. The short crappy leak, causing a push back by like a week or two. And yeah.
This is nothing like then. We knew it was coming and it was super exciting. This album is first time we really don't know or have much info yet.
