If anything RR was critically acclaimed and remains her most acclaimed work. So at least she got that as a consolation for "flopping".
ARTPOP is a flop and received mixed reviews. So not only did she flop, but she also didn't get any more fans or artistic integrity out of it. Of anything it put a damper on her image. So we'll just have to see what she decides to do for her next album.
