Actually, Uptown Funk is clearly a sales-driven hit considering its incredible iTunes performance in the midst of radio stations paying the song dust until just very recently. Predicted to sell 350K+ this week alone, and has a chance at knocking Blank Space down from Billboard's Top Spot.
Love Me Harder is a much better example of a payola-fueled hit.

It looks like Jennifer Lopez won't be joining Britney Spears in Las Vegas, after all. After rumors that the "Booty" singer was eyeing a lucrative residency at Caesars Entertainment's Colosseum, it seems as though she was demanding too much money to finally ink the deal. But, another big name diva, Mariah Carey, could be the next to head to Sin City.

She sold out MSG 2x. Her tour tickets are like $30 for nosebleeds and +$300 for floor seats. I was just checking yesterday because a friend wants to see her.
