It came to a shock for a song in this form to have autotune. Besides, if we're comparing Heartless and this song, this song had more autotune in it.

It would've been more raw for him to just sing it without the special effects. It lessens the sincerity of the song but it's a grower and I'm kinda liking it. I just wish he didn't go all out and auto-tuned the **** out of the track. I absolutely had no problems with him and auto tune and in fact I always praise his use of it multiple times. The song just doesn't fit the robotized vocals.

I think it's stupid to say that the auto-tune lessened the sincerity of the song. I prefer the auto-tune because I don't want to hear Kanye singing without it. It would have been unbearable.

I think the point of the song was to evoke emotion through the lyrical content. Everything else is just an added bonus. I love it and while I'm a fan of Kanye rapping before singing, I wouldn't mind or be mad if he had more content like this on the new album. It's a breath of fresh air.

I personally don't have a problem with his auto-tune because I know Kanye is capable of using it as a form of art and can manage the final product to be great, but this song in particular is not really interesting for me in any way.

Have you heard him sing without autotune? He's not good but he's not bad either and it's bearable.

If she sang it with autotune all over, it would be a mess and a half. Same with this one. If he toned it down a little on the autotune, it could've sounded much better and raw.

I feel you. But yes, I have heard him sing without auto-tune, live. I didn't like it. I just think that the point of this song was to focus on the message vs. how it was sang. I can see how the auto-tune could be distracting though. For some people the point/effect of the song came through immediately while some were/are thrown off by the auto-tune.

Yeah. My initial reaction when I heard the damn autotune was like "WTF" and then it dragged on too long but while doing so, I was listening to the words so I really had mixed feelings initially. I really like it now.

I would really love an unprocessed song to leak though since I believe it would be better.
