#17. "Beautiful, Dirty, Rich"
Average score: 5.3542
This music video is the only one Gaga has ever released for a promotional single except "G.U.Y." (poor "Venus" ). It showed that Gaga could do her thing on a budget, and was a cute, fun video that introduced people to the concept of The Fame. I personally prefer it to the music video for "Just Dance", but that's just me. Gaga rolling in the wads of money and lighting up a bill as a cigarette >>>>>.
I grabbed the haters and lovers from the wrong column. Sorry. Will fix that later. And yes, I will be posting the average score for each video. The one for BDR has been added.
**** ALL OF YOU FOR THIS. I think most of you were blinded by the letdown and lack of mermaids in this video to fully appreciate it. This is personally one of my favorite Gaga videos. The cinematography is great, and it is the perfect video for the song about being on the edge of life and just enjoying one's last moments dancing away in the misty NYC atmosphere. The blue-purple color scheme is brilliant. Dark blue represents death and fuschia symbolizes life and they meet on the "edge of glory". The song itself is real and boisterous, and the video gives the perfect atmosphere for it. Rest in peace, Clarence Clemons.
Lovers (score of 9 or above): TheGreatestThing , will add the rest later
Ew, The Edge Of Glory is one of my favorite Gaga videos. Visually pleasing to the eye, not too much going on, great song, amazing color, a little boring but meh...
I wish ARTPOP included J-Pop/EDM/Trap bops like this
YAS. I love that she dabbled in it (mostly image-wise though) during ARTPOP and Born This Way, but I NEED an era full of J-pop bops and kawaii looks. It would even further her Asian SLAYAGE and bring something "new" to other parts of the world. (I put new in parentheses because while it's common in many parts of Asia, this style is not really seen in other parts of the world.)
Ah, "Just Dance", the video and song that introduced us to Gaga. Though a party song with a party video, this was what introduced us to Lady Gaga. The lightning bolt, covering her eyes, the disco bra and the orca. These are what set Gaga apart and made her interesting. Gaga's quirkiness stood out, and allowed her to become the star she always knew she was.
