The new Queen Of Pop finally graces my countdown with the best song off 1989. The electric guitar is mesmerizing. The drums are amazing and not all over the place like in most Max Martin songs. The lyrics are catchy and most importantly mature which lacks in most of her songs. Oh and the bridge always gives me goosebumps. I bow down to you Taylor.
I believe God himself sent this song to Calvin and HAIM. The flawless mix of the 80s synth pop and modern EDM is out of this world. This is by far Calvin's best Pop song. We Found Love tried it. This is also the best song for HAIM or anybody for that matter to make their mainstream debut. I can't wait for Columbia to release this because the whole world needs to hear it.
With this song, Lana stopped living in a bad fantasy world and got real and vulnerable. And as in any Lana Del Rey masterpiece, this song is crafted to perfection.
I actually didn't check for this song when it came out or when Nick was taking his clothes off, not that I'm complaining. But this song hit me when I heard it on the radio and I was pleasantly surprised. This R&B colored Pop perfection is what Nick and Joe have been dying to produce since the demise of the Jonas Brothers. I'm very grateful that Nick is serving eye candy with ear candy.
As you've guessed by now, my favorite kind of Pop music is when different genres mix together to create something new, unique and fresh. Am I Wrong is no exception to that. This perfection of a song with its African sounds and European Pop music just gives me eargasm. More please!
