But again, not boundary-pushing and diverse enough.

Dude, she's not POP. Get it out of your head, she's country and she always has been. NOMINATIONS and year-end lists also don't make you the queen of pop.

Madonna is the queen of pop and hasn't even won that many Grammys throughout the course of her over-30-year-long career. She is the queen of pop because she has maintained relevance and success for more than 3 decades. She has changed the face of the industry and has had a major cultural impact. Taylor is successful but does she have that much of a cultural impact? Do you see other artists trying to emulate her, constantly referencing her?

There was a time where Janet Jackson was at the top and Madonna was flopping hard. People suddenly started calling Janet the queen of pop and look where she is now...and look where Madonna (who people said was over in the 90's) is now. Just because someone is being more successful than others right now doesn't mean she's suddenly the queen of pop.

The impact things is true, michael jackson earned his title by changing the music industry back then, he made visuals HAPPEN in the industry, his pop songs were completely outstanding as they were a cross over of r&b and pop combined with disco-ish choruses

His sound and performance changed the industry and most importantly HIS GENRE, he was loved by fans(them crazy $alessss) and loved by critics (them shitton of awards)

His impact is tangible and timeless...

The only one who came close(from this era) to MJ & Madonna was Gaga, but that burnt out quickly...
