That's why back in May she started recording R8? It's pretty obvious that she didn't spend 2 years recording only 12 songs for a soundtrack, she probably just spent January & February (maybe March too) of this year recording Home.
If she had planned to release R8 in 11 months she wouldn't have started working on it 7 months ago. Like Rih said, she likes to be "spontaneous". If she already worked on the single's music video and did the album photoshoot that means she's ready to release something soon. Just because she's still recording the album doesn't mean she can't release it in just a few months. Remember that she finished recording "Unapologetic" 2/3 weeks before its release, same for "Talk That Talk".
And don't forget that she's going on tour in America & Europe next year, which means the world tour will start around Summer (late Summer probably).
