It's very simple, if your music doesn't sound "gay," straight people will like it.
For example, straight people will use all of Taylor Swift's music, because she doesn't make "gay" music. At the most, she's flirting with lesbian undertones with her Karlie Kloss friendship, but straight people don't have a problem with that because they're both attractive women. If Taylor Swift and Karlie Kloss were both unattractive women like post-Mean Girls Lindsay Lohan and that diseased-looking female DJ she dated, then straight people would ditch her and her music.
Straight people don't use Lady Gaga or Nicki Minaj's music, since it all sounds "gay." And frankly, their music is terrible to begin with. Straight men don't listen to Pink, but straight women of all ages love Pink, as well as lesbians, of course. Conversely, straight women hate Madonna, but straight men have no problems with Madonna; she's an anomaly -- it's a generational anomaly. Meanwhile, straight men just want female pop stars like Katy Perry and Ariana Grande to shut the f*** up, because it ruins an erection to hear them sing or speak. Television sets across America will be left on, but muted during the Super Bowl Half Time show, guaranteed.
