Nah, I think what mostly fueled the fire for Gaga VS Katy was that their debuts were around the same time and many people were curious as to who was more popular and who REALLY held the crown between them. Rihanna and Gaga have released together before and it didn't spark anything. No one cared enough, and I don't think people care enough now.

You can easily hear the entire song throughout. Starts at the end of the second verse, plays the chorus, and then ends with the bridge. Sounds exactly like the demo we have, but if it was updated in some way it's too bad we won't get to hear it

You have to read more closely, she didn't listen to C2C, she listened to his duet album, not theirs. His album with Xtina, Amy, etc was titled Duets.
