Neither had that much impact, they just both got played on the radio loads for a few months. But I'd say Firework since it's more remembered today, was more successful at the time, and is simply the better song.

Firework is a huge recurrent seller and has gotten played at every firework show I've been to in the last 3 years. I'm lucky to hear Bad Romance playing in a grocery store here and there.

It gets a huge bump in the US but that doesn't mean it doesn't sell well throughout the year too getting a bump on the 4th of July means it's still remembered and it left an impact.

Getting a bump WORLDWIDE on New Years also means it's still remembered and left an impact.

Gaining more views and streams daily too! being more referenced TOO! being more SEARCHED daily-yearly TOO!

9.7M WW sales from December 1st 2009 to November 30 2010 (IFPI)

Outside of that tracking period, it sold an additional 2.18M in just the UK + US alone.

Meanwhile Firework didn't even sell enough to make IFPI's 2011 list (Dec 1st 2010 to Nov 30 2011)
